if Merle was still there when Rick, Daryl & co went back to rescue him on the rooftop? Daryl had no loyalty to Rick, maybe once Merle was uncuffed both of them (Merle & Daryl) would have beaten up Rick & Co. and taken off, or would Rick have apologized to Merle and all of them would be lovey-dovey?

I think it would have depended on what point he was at when they found him. If he was asking jesus for help and they appeared i think he would have gone with them happily back to camp and then eventually turned on everyone back at camp.

Or he would have just attacked Rick and co. Daryl probably would have held back a little, i can see him holding a gun on Rick or something if Merle told him too. I think they would have probably Rick, Glenn and Tdog on the roof and escaped the city.

Then we might see both Merle and Daryl at woodbury, not just Merle

Merle is quite the hot head. Daryl seemed to be the quieter one of the two. He looked up to Merle. I think that Merle would have gone apeshit and Daryl would have went along with it. Daryl would go blindly wherever Merle went.. Where they would have gone at that point, who knows? Their path would be so different, they may not have ever met up with the Guv'na. Interesting thought.
