I just found this movie; nothing to recommend it, but at the 20:15 mark, they mention a former survivor named "Kirkman" who got eaten :mellow:

NATALIE: In case you missed Sunday's special episode of Talking Dead, showrunner Glen Mazzara teased that Daryl is going to be the new No. 2 to replace Shane and The Governor believes he's the messiah of the zombie apocalypse. (Both sound awesome!) Plus: Mazzara also recently teased to us that there will be a whole new character this season not from the comics who, he hopes, will become a fan favorite.

This is from someone who actually watches very little TV so I don't have much to compare to, but the Walking Dead cast strikes me as an exceptionally smart, gracious and humble group of people.  This is just based on clips I've seen on the internet and on the season one DVD.  Am I right?

OK, here's another little thing I found.  

After joking with the audience during his panel about possibly strapping a bazooka or some ridiculous weapon to his arm in place of his missing hand, he did get serious by hinting that his character is likely to utilize something in place of a hand simply because of his resourcefulness.

"Thinking of how Merle is written and how I've played him so far I find it hard to believe that Merle would walk around with just a stump. Whatever happens.... You're gonna be surprised."
