Imagine a group of a hundred motorcycles driving down a freeway. Eventually, they hit a junction. One road goes northwest and the other goes northeast. So one guy, we'll call him S, says, "Let's go northwest!" A mile past the intersection, a semi careens into the group and kills ninety of them. Ten are wounded, but they survive and keep going. Eventually, they hit 10,000 miles. S suddenly has his consciousness thrown into his past body right before the junction. Now, he says, "Let's go northeast!" All 100 bikers survive. Happily ever after, right? But what about the ten, no nine, who went northwest and survived? What happens to the reality they were living? Does it just disappear now that S has changed the past? It's not like only bad things happened on that 10,000 mile journey. Maybe one of them fell in love with a gas station attendant and got her pregnant or maybe one adopted a homeless kid that joined the adventure. That 10,000 mile journey would be full of stories. Romances, farewells, friendships...the loss of those ninety lives is horrible and unfortunate, but what would rewriting their history mean? The nine who survived lived full lives and did the best they could with the hand they were dealt. How could it be right to just erase all that? Isn't that worth something? Is there a point to a world where everything is happy? Are people who struggle for a better life just idiots? Being human is about fighting even when it seems hopeless and finding happiness in a world that hates it. Are you saying that's worthless?

Yeah. I used to be a big movie buff but there comes a certain point where you realize you've seen everything so I'm leaning more towards TV shows now. The only thing I don't like about it is that it takes some investment.

The problem with deaths in the Walking Dead (show and comics) is that you need big deaths to make it unpredictable but if you do a lot of big deaths, it feels like a waste

Change is the law of life. And those who look only to the past, or the present, are certain to miss the future.

And there comes a point when his big deaths weren't even unpredictable as he spent a whole season making Andrea look like an idiot- then she dies. Then Lori starts to feel like "hey maybe I fucked things up, maybe I feel bad" and she dies as we begin to feel sad for her.

I'll admit Dales death shocked me and he can have credit for it, well done.

Did Mazzara or Darabont kill Sophia ? I don't remember

Edit: and thanks for the +1 , don't worry I know your name I'm just thinking of how to abbreviate it lol

Well, Dale's actor wanted out, which I'm sure you probably know. The death scene itself worked, though. It hit all the right notes

I'm pretty sure Darabont killed Sophia and even if he didn't, it was his idea. The actress' mom wanted her out of the show because it was too violent so I'm sure Darabont knew she had to be killed off. I mean, SOMETHING had to come out of the search for Sophia

What did her mother expect. I mean... It's called the walking dead . Lol

And yeah I knew about dales actor . Meanwhile had he waited another season and I'm sure he'd have been dead. All those Darabont regulars met their demise. Dale , Shane , Lori , Andrea .
