I agree. I know someone mentioned earlier in the thread about how marriage isn't for the ZA, but I totally disagree. They still have some hope, and this shows that.

I like to think that Maggie and Glenn are the hope for the future. There what the group strives for. One day having a normal life again. They give the group hope of a future and its always nice to have something positive happen to these people once in awhile is needed. I guess Merle missed the cuts for the best man huh? Too soon?

Yup. I agree. Especially, since he told Herschel he didn't need a wedding. And I think it was absolutely perfect.
Having a ring is a last tie in to the old world. But the way he had to get it, an acknowledgement of the harsh new reality.

Rick and the group have made some, to use a kind term, "questionable" decisions, but taking the time to try to put together and execute a wedding under the looming threat of a war would be beyond stupid. I think if Glenn and Maggie both live to get married, it will be AFTER the Governor arc is put to rest, one way or another.

Agreed. I get the whole potential final hours need to express love but if the finale is an hour and focuses more than 2 minutes on this wedding instead of fighting the Gov, Andrea locked away, Tyreese, etc. I will be annoyed as there are so many more important things that need to be dealt with deeper.

He snipped the walkers fingers off with some gardening sheers (or something like that), to get her ring. Very romantic.

I was really impressed that he found Maggie's ring size the first snip.

Talking of weddings and churches, the only location from the intro we have not seen is the graveyard when Lauren Cohen's name appears on screen. We have Glenn's watch, rick's badge, the meeting place with the Gov, the farm, the house Daryl looked for Sophia... and bascially every location so far seen. Just find the graveyard bit odd! Hope it is a sign of the Woodbury plot ending this season and moving on to new locations.
