I had to laugh when Andrea asked Michonne 'what did you tell them?' I half expected her to say "not much".
OMG? Seriously, lol.
To the point, I hope this trek with Rick and Carl next week opens her up. Nice to know she can string a sentence together. Don't imagine she'll ever be a Chatty Cathy, but can she actually carry on a conversation? The time in the car could be interesting.

Clearly, she knows she didn't start out well with this group, that I believe she would like to stay with. She knows Rick is ready to kick her to the curb. If you understand the character, she is someone that just watches. It took what, 8 months for her to really probably like Andrea.
She is watching everyone, getting an opinion of what is going on. She doesn't want to talk, because she is the odd person out and probably feels if she talks or causes problems, she is gone. I personally would keep my mouth shut also. Wait until I felt I was finally part of the group.
You don't need to talk to have an impact on a show. You need to have a purpose....hers is the death she can cause.

Michonne did not bring on this war. The governor attacked the prison without even knowing that Michonne was there. He simply does not tolerate any potential rivals. That's why he killed the soldiers earlier on in the season.Michonne's character bothers me. First the talking thing and also the fact that she and Merle brought on the whole war. They knew the Governors mindset and instead of letting it go they poked at him until he lost any sort of self control. Then Michonne and Merle sit in the prison like "Oopsie Daisy! I brought an evil killer to your door when you were all just minding your own business." They don't care that they brought a baby, child, their own brother, and a whole town of people in danger.

I'd like to think she's the Silent Bob of The TWD TV Universe but when she does open her mouth she says meaningless boring stuff.
Please. What you don't know about Michonne I can just about squeeze into the Grand Blankin' Canyon
Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray thee Lord these bites aren't deep.
Should I die before I wake, I pray thee Lord, my skull they break.

Well, last week we got to see her laying the smack down on some zombies , which was good.
This week we actually get to hear her say something meaningful, which is also good.
Things are looking up.
As they often do, when laying in the gutter.
On top of this, the previews for next episode seem to be playing it up as her induction episode. It might just be the start, but Rick really seems to want to give her a chance now.

I don't see why people think everyone has to talk or have a lot of lines?

It's not so much that she is silent but its how that silence is coming across, which isn't very good. According to the cast Michonne and Andrea were like bosom buddies however Andrea was quick to let it be known second episode, after those 8 months she barely knew anything about Michonne. So basically they were this pair of "super close" friends who didn't know or really understand each other. Also I get the whole "be silent and just watch" aspect but that isn't how this group functions, they are very open with each other like a family. It even took Daryl a while to really feel accepted as he is the loner type too but only a fraction of how bad Michonne is when it comes to the lone wolf complex. Michonne is going to have to open up and at least be more friendly to be accepted. Besides Rick was only suspicious of her because of how tight lipped she is, he would have been a lot more accepting of her if she would had said more in the beginning about the Gov, Merle and Andrea.

Disagree. Michonne came off bitter, juvenile and petty last episode in her scenes with Andrea. She would have done better to just keep silent.
