"Once Again, Rick is pushed BEYOND his breaking point."

Now that we have a synopsis, I suppose I'll open this thread. Please keep synopsis-talk to a minimum, and use spoiler tags until the book is released.

Here's the summary for 107. Enjoy...

*As seen in the preview,Rick headbutts to the nose and then knees Negan in groin,causing him to topple over.He orders the Saviours to stand down.Rick rushes negan,demanding to know what has been done to Carl-Negan begins to strangle Rick and asks him if Rick really thinks he would let some one handed piece of shit beat him up in front of his own men?

*Negan punches Rick and pulls him to his feet,Rick swings at Negan but the Saviours leader catches his fist,telling Rick he is now "super fucking pissed off".He gets Rick into a headlock and tells Rick that he has no idea how much he is going to regret doing all that in a few mnutes,then calls out to his men to get Carl.

*Rick bites Negans arm hard,drawing blood.Negan pulls out a knife and hits Rick on the head with the back of the handle.Michonne draws her sword and negan tells her to stand down and that they are all lucky to have gotten this far without being slaughtered.Negan tells them all to take a breather and calm the fuck down.

*Carl appears and runs to embrace his Dad,telling him how sorry he is for leaving and that he thought he was grown up and would never see Rick again.Negan mentions his poor choice of words from last issues end,saying what he should have said was "I cant fucking wait until you see that Ive done nothing to your little boy".Negan then says that he cannot understand the look of hostility Rick is giving him seeming as he just handed his son back unharmed even though he slaughtered some Saviours.

*Rick asks Negan why he is being so nice all of a sudden,to which Negan tells Rick he has a lot to make up for and that he hasnt got all these little communities at his feet just because he roams the countryside bashing in Asian American heads.He provides a service that keeps them safe.He says he will kill Ricks friends if they do not co operate,but he has given Carl back to Rick to show he can be reasonable.

*Rick says he will co operate,as he as already said,but he will not lie and pretend to be "friends" with Negan.Negan says he prefers to be reasonable and only does bad things to set boundaries and make people aware of the consequences of their actions.He does not take joy in those deeds,but Lucille on the other hand does so its a good job she isnt in charge.The Saviours then leave and say they will see Team Grimes on the next supply run.

*Rick turns and asks Jesus if he thinks all of what Negan just said was bullshit.Jesus says that even though Negan has weird rules he does seem to be pretty reasonable most of the time.Andrea suggests taking a different route back to look for supplies and Carl asks Rick wether he is mad at him or not.Rick replies he is relieved Carl is alive and wont yell much.

*Eugene,Rosita and Holly are eploring the building where Alexndria are planning to manafacture amunition.Eugene expresses excitment at the fact they have everything they need including a swagging press,which means they wont have to do alot of casting and can work the metal at room temperature,making the whole thing easier.

*Eugene and Rosita discuss getting Olivia to do an accounting form of what weapons they have the most of.Rosita tells Eugene he is doing a good,Eugene replies that he is just doing his part while embarressed.Holly looks on at them.

Rick calls a town meeting to discuss recent events-He tells Olivia and Andrea to get all the supplies together for the Saviours next visit,he also says he is taking Negans gesture of being reasonable at face value and that he can be trusted.Rick ends the meeting by thanking everyone for trusting him and that he believes things will be better for them all by working together from here on out.

*Andea discusses with Rick the possible implications of keeping whats really going on from the rest of Alexandria,Rick responds that they may not be happy when they find out but will be alive because of it and will eventually get over it.

*At night,Heath is keeping watch when Michonne approaches him.He tells her his shift isnt over yet when she grabs him by his belt and tries to kiss him.Heath rebuffs her advances,saying that him and Denise Cloyd are going through a rough patch and therefore doesnt wanna mess up any chance of a reconcilliation,he also mentions that Maggie told him about Michonne and Tyreese.He tells Michonne she doesnt have to be so stand offish and on guard constantly.They are all in this together.Michonne tells him thats enough,tells him sorry then walks away.

*Inside Ricks house-Rick,Andrea and Jesus are discussing the saviours and recent events.Rick tells the others about what Carl witnessed at Negans base-the fact Negan has "wives" who parade round naked all day,he saw at least 30 people while there-normal men,women and children-not many fighters and also the fact he saw no stockpiles of ammunition or guns.

*Jesus mentions that makes sense as Negans fighters are mostly stationed at his outposts to establish some kind of perimeter "safe zone".Jesus also mentions that Hilltop suspected for awhile that Negans troops didnt rely much on ammo either as it is very hard to come by nowadays.

*Jesus recaps by saying "So we know where the Saviours live and thats its not filled to the brim with soldiers..." he then puts his hand to his chin,thinking. Rick asks him what it is he's thinking to which Jesus smiles and responds "I think its time I introduce you to Ezekiel"

I have a funny feeling Big Zeke has a small set of individuals who work for him, Jesus being one, almost like a unique set of people who offer skills in each department like stealth etc, as this storyline moves forward, the Michonne story is boring me, shes plodding along with short random encounters, seems like shes part of the scenery, always there but not really doing much, as someone mentioned on the other thread, i think her days are numbered. I think Negan will find out about the manufacturing and ammo casting and probably demand a percentage, having all the equipment needed to cast convienantly close to their zone seems to obvious for it not to be in use already. I just hope its not going to turn into just supply and demand every issue, something big has to happen soon, sorry for the rant haha. Too much speculation.

Solid issue. The Carl resolution was a bit anti-climactic after that cliffhanger -- but very real in terms of how Negan dominates heated personal matters in order to ensure a continuous flow of vital goods to his "capital city".

Bring on Ezekiel.

What about kissing, sex, etc? The bacteria in a walkers bite causes death. How would a bite from a human kill someone?


Good issue overall! Good to see Rick stand up to Negan, and it seems his plan is going well! I have a feeling Michonne will be back in action soon! Can't wait for Ezekial!

The infection has to get into the blood stream to kill someone...it's just a thought though, we have nothing that debunks it. Most people don't bite others to begin with. We've never seen what would happen to someone if they were bit by someone living...even though they carry the virus too.

While we already knew - Carl is alive and I'm glad Negan didn't do anything else to the kid besides make him sing a song. I feel Negan IS trying to show Rick he's reasonable and sort of sane (minus his rules and Lucille). Negan knows how dangerous Alexandria can be after killing so many of the Saviors and they're a valuable asset for supplys, so obviously Negan doesn't want a war. I guess I'm really repeating established facts, but the beginning just seemed to reinforce that fact. Rick facing off with Negan at the beginning of the issue was also great and he definitely got in some good hits and even a bite. Negan definnitely proved that Rick is no match for him though in one-on-one physical combat

Can I also just say how great Andrea is, for the thousandth time? She is Rick's rock and absolutely keeps him in check. I love their love. Haha. Moving on. I don't think Rick is aware of Eugene, Rosita and Holly going out to this bullet manufacturing place, and when he finds out I think he'll be pissed since he told Euge no bullets, but I think Rick will smarten up some more and tell Euge to go ahead secretly to start making them. I do wonder about Holly though. Rosita definitely gave Euge some kind of look and maybe Holly is jealous. She has every reason to be since Rosita is the better person even though Holly stole Abe from her... I sense some kind of cat fight in the near future between them for some reason.

Also interesting development with Michonne & Heath. I kind of saw that coming... though I didn't remember Heath & Denise having relationship problems, but props to Heath for denying Michonne and calling her out. It shows Michonne is lonely sure... maybe she'll go after Rick, but if anything this issue shows further proof she only likes black dudes. Nothing wrong with that though, just sayin'. I wonder if this will make Michonne feel more alone & isolated. Maybe she'll want to leave Alexandria? Maybe she can go after Father Gabriel next? Haha. Orrrr....maybe she'll try to get with.... EZEKIEL!

Jesus was holding out on Rick. I think theres definitely some more stuff that Jesus hasn't revealed yet, but I feel like he's definitely on Alexandria's side. To me it seems clear, Jesus' original mission with contacting Alexandra was to find more groups to help combat Negan & the Saviors. He must have met Ezekiel and his group before but they were not enough and they didn't have enough intel on the Saviors. Now they have Alexandra who are fierce as fuck and have proved they can kick the Saviors asses and now they have a better idea of what the Saviors numbers are and where they're located. If they hit homebase, how long would the outposts go without hearing about it to respond. I can't wait to find out who this Ezekiel guy is and what his Tigers name is and what they're all about. Things are looking less dire that's for sure. But who knows, Kirkman will likely throw in some sort of curveball.

All in all I really enjoyed this issue and can't wait until next month!

i can't wait for zeke and his tiger. i got all giddy on that last page for the first time in a while... probably for the first time since i saw michonne save andrea on the tv show on the season 2 finale.
