I enjoyed the episode.
I thought the phone scenes were excellent. Wow
Andrea will be put through ringer by fans. I don't like the way they are portraying her.
Yeah turning Andrea into an evil harridan is a bit different from what they did in the comics but I like it still.
Yeah that's right I said evil.
She admitted to liking the fights, and was disturbed by the fact that she liked them (another way of saying "yes, I know this is sick and twisted, but I don't give a shit because I'm sick and twisted too."
Shield yourself from those not bound to you by steel, for they are the blind. Aid them when you can, but lose not sight of yourself.

That baby is 2 days older than my daughter and she is way bigger than her, and my daughter feeds a bottle every 2 hours. Wtf?
I'm glad michonne followed the roamers to the prison that was awesome! I feel bad for Maggie she's gonna get ruffed up something feirce I do believe.
They probably didn't want to use an actual newborn. '
I do like this one constant in the WD universe. If YOU smell like a zombie then they can't detect you. Awesome.

And, the Guv's garden looked delightful.
I think that the Guv has created his own little fantasy world. everyone in it is just for his amusement, or just a part of his unreal woodbury. He wants normalcy even if he has to kill steal and murder just to get it.
He's a true psychopath.

Andrea - I just can't with her. I really want to like the character but the way they write her -- just can't. I swear she's dickmatized by every man with a little bit of power. First Shane, now the Governor.

It's so sad because Andrea is one of my favorite characters in the comics--so badass and self-assured, and intelligent and on-the-ball. The TV version of Andrea, I *want* to like so badly, and I think Laurie Holden is a beautiful and capable actress, but she's getting a shit shaft from the writers, producers, or whoever is casting her into the "dumb blonde who's overly trusting of the Governor" role. I just don't think her character transformation is very believable, given how she was starting to become such a fighter at the end of S2.

How did Michonne know to go to the prison? I mean, did she overhear Glenn and Maggie say something about it?
I think she did overhear Glenn and Maggie talk about the prison and the need for formula (which is why she had the shopping basket of formula with her), but I think it's marginally credible that she found the group's prison so quickly and knew right where to go.

I dunno--the number of incessant commercial breaks annoyed me, and aside from poor Glenn and Maggie getting kidnapped by Merle, I basically thought this was a filler episode and an excuse to get Andrea nekkid with the Governator.

My thoughts....
-LOL@Bitergrams
-Damn Michonne's super powers continue. Would complain about how she is too badassed but she is just so badass that I can't bring myself to care too much, the scene was amazing imo.
-Poor Neil/Cartulio lol I would never want to be in his situation with Merle trying to toughen me up haha. Overall I'm glad things are finally getting pushed into motion. Merle is a crazy bastard.
-Phone call scenes were probably some of the best scenes in the entire episode if not this entire season so far. So many feels from them.
-I know people are going to bitch about the Daryl scene but I loved it. Showed how he could relate to Carl and I didn't think it was fatherish but I think it showed how inside he is still a kid too in someways.
-I don't get the girl who freaked out on Andrea. She went on a speech about how good a shot she was and she could have been in the olympics with her dad's super bow but looked like she was shooting with rubber arrows. It's like no girl Andrea helped you out cause you would have been shooting at that walker all day and no one has time for that.
-Michonne discovered what Rick and Glenn did S1 that was pretty cool although I don't think she has nearly enough entrails on her to blend in that well as they walked right past her.
-A little surprised that Michonne didnt jump out to save Maggie as she has taken every other opprotunity to super hero the situation. But she was injured and granted Maggie and Glenn probably wouldn't have trusted her much either. Wonder what her plan is.
-Not sure how I feel about the Andrea situation, I know everyone is going to send her through the ringer again for this episode but I realistically have a hard time seeing anyone else act differently. I feel people would either be in the independant and accepting of this new world Michonne catagory or wanting to hold on to the past and civilization as much as possible Andrea catagory.
-That baby is super cute.
-Also loved the Daryl saving Carol scene as cheesy as it was. I don't ship them at all so I hope this isn't foreshadowing a budding romance. However, I do feel especially with Daryl's backstory being revealed a bit more, that he does probably feel responsible for not being able to save a lot of people so Carol just added to that.
-Michonne showing up at the end was also another scene I really enjoyed. I like that she also brought the baby food too.
-Overall this episode is probably my favorite one so far this season. Excellent!
Good assessment. I agree with just about everything. Although, I thought Andrea might have gotten mad at the Guv when he took her off wall duty.
The phone calls were awesome in that Rick was gradually coming to the conclusion of what they were.
The pacing of this episode was just right. I was happy to rate this one as excellent.

Some notes:
-I really liked the phone scenes, but I kind of wish Shane had been one of the people on the phone. I guess it makes sense though because Rick might have been able to recognize Shane's voice (moreso than him being able to recognize Amy, Jim, and Jacqui).
-The Governor's a lucky guy.
-I liked that we got to see more of Merle this episode, I think it's the first time we've really seen him in action. He's becoming one of my favorite characters, haha.
-Yay, Carol's alive (I thought it was already pretty obvious, but I'm glad they finally found her).
-I really loved the whole scene with Merle, Glenn, and Maggie. Great stuff.
-It was cool that Michonne brought the baby stuff to the prison.
-I liked Daryl's talk with Carl.
-Andrew Lincoln better win an Emmy or I'll be pissed.
I can't wait for next week!

"dickmatized" - have to say I've never heard that one before. Dick-whipped, yes--"dickmatized," I'll have to remember that for a future ref.

Prisons are sign posted down here in Georgia. And all she would've had to have done was check a map from one of the stores. Not such a stretch of the imagination.

I felt so sorry for Rick when he heard Lori. None of them actually realized how lucky they were to have an intact family. The rest of the group all lost their whole family or at least one member, but they were so damn lucky. And still Rick and Lori prefered resentment. I hope Rick will forgive himself and be at ease with his own mind someday.
Loved Daryl and Carl scene. I could not understand too much of what Daryl was saying, but I guess there was something to do about his mother? And poor Carol, I am glad she is alive! Daryl saving her... as always. But nice, anyway.
Now, I never read the comics but I know the fans love Woodbury and the Governor and how evil he is and all... but really, the scenes there bore the hell out of me. I like Andrea and hey, a girl has needs and good for her to be having some fun, but everytime it cut to her and the Governor I would do something else.
Michonne is just GREAT. Just that.

I also didn't understand how Michonne got to the prison.
Well, the writers deliberately gave Maggie and Glenn two lines to direct Michonne. One was, "Grab that duck... A baby needs a toy in a prison" and the other, "It's a straight shot back to where to came." Basically they laid out where she needed to go, and how to get there.
