I was wondering why Michonne didn’t take the opportunity and kill the governor to ensure that both she and Andrea got away, or even to stay @ Woodbury but without the guv. and his goons. Would it have been possible for Mich. to get rid of the governor speak with Andrea and after some more investigating, Andrea could approach Merle and the 3 of them could take out the other goons, I think Merle would be up for it. They would be able to still keep Woodbury safe with all the arms and have more freedom (Merle could look for Daryl). They could try and make Woodbury the real safe haven they want. I’m not sure if Michonne didn’t kill him because she thought she wouldn’t get away with it, or that Andrea would be upset that her sanctuary was ruined.

I think it's a pretty big jump from zombie slayer to murderer.

Killing the Gov would be a bad idea all around at that point. There is no way his goons wouldn't have retaliated or the towns people for that matter. Yes the Gov is evil but not outwardly so, he's charming and charismatic to the townspeople and has the loyalty of his goons. Usually the only way to get rid of a character like that without looking evil yourself is to trap them and cause them to reveal themselves as evil.

While I don't think Merle will stay under the Gov forever, Merle has no reason at this point to side with Andrea and Michonne over him. Additionally it seems the Gov's goons are the only ones who use guns, they maybe the only ones who actually know how to in the first place. The rest are average cilivans who most probably would have been dead by now. Taking down the Gov and his goons all at once would cause chaos and be the destruction of Woodbury.

I think Michonne definitely thought about it but knew that it wouldn't be smart as she would not get away with it and she would come off as the utterly crazy one. If it was going to work it needed to be planned a head of time. She couldn't kill him, then get proof for Andrea and convince Merle before someone discovered his body/he was missing and shit hit the fan.

Its likely that Andrea, Michonne and Merle could team up to take down the Gov in the future but as of now, neither Andrea or Merle have the motivation.

She could have killed the Governor as a sort of preemptive strike in self defense. Logically though she can't expect to take over the town after killing their Lord Protector. So if she kills him she's going to have to skip town. If she leaves him alive she can go without having all the goons and peasants howling on her heels. I also don't think she realizes just how far out in left field the Governor is playing.

Michonne's goal wasn't to kill him. It was to let him know that he was wasting his time trying to charm her and I think he got the message. That is why he switched to charming Andrea instead.

Why kill the guv? He's a pretty practical person. I understood why he killed those soldiers. They were a threat. The heads in the fish tanks and keeping his daughter "alive" yeah is a little messed up but I can overlook that. I'd happily live in Woodbury and serve under him.

That would have been murder. I don't think Michonne would be willing to do that. And unless she and Andrea hauled ass about 1 minute later, the entire town would have fallen down on their heads. This is the leader of Woodbury, I'm pretty sure the governor isn't often alone save for after curfew. And who is to say those goons wouldn't have gone after her. They'd probably fancy a revenge kill. It'd be easier to just get out quietly.

i think i'll go with post. Michonne is a badass survivor/survivalist, but she has a sense of values and morality. she is no murderer.

not sure, i think that michonne is selfish, ungrateful and stubborn. I dont think she'll survive long on the outside on her own. Her petulant behaviour was not cool. She shouldve joined with the governor and helped to create a strong place for future families and civilisation. Not taking a hissy fit and committing vandalism on those walkers, breaking and entering and threatening the life of the guv.

at the moment i support the guv. Nothing he's done so far has made me question his authority. I understand why he killed the soldiers, and why he keeps his daughter "alive". Not sure about the walkers heads in the fish tanks though, but that character flaw I can even overlook. I'd be happy to live in Woodbury.

That mich just seems to be a dangerous loner. I dont trust her.

When she released the walkers she endangered all the residents of woodbury, all those women and kids she threatened with her petulant behaviour.

You're in a town with 20 armed henchmen and 70 people who love him. Do you think michonne will make it out alive if she kills the governor? Last time I checked, michonne is not neo from the matrix. One bullet to the brain and she's done

Complete agreement. She's a great fighter but doesn't seem likely at this point to go the route of blatent murder without too much proof. She knows a few weird things are going on but, has no direct proof the Gov. is murdering/abusing people. Very little to go on to just off someone in a position of power with his guards all around. Andrea "Why'd you kill him!?" Mich "Uh..he..sketched me..out?" Doesn't seem like it'd go over very well.

"A little messed up." That level of Messed Up could result in him slaughtering the entire town and starting over with a new set of survivors on a whim. Something sets him off? You say the wrong thing, or there's a rumor that you said the wrong thing? Guess who's for dinner?

Way too many guys with guns waiting outside. It'd look pretty suspicious if Michonne came walking out with a bloody katana and the Governor wasn't there following her. Plus, then Andrea definitely wouldn't trust Michonne anymore. There was no evidence against him, either, she just felt threatened in that situation and wanted to make sure she had the upper foot.

"murdering and abusing"?

I haven't seen any murders yet by the Guv, nor any abusing? Iv'e only seen the Guv rescue andrea and mich, nurse andrea back to health, give them food, a safe place to sleep, clean clothes and comfy beds. they also have booze, friends and entertainment at woodbury.
on the other hand mich has threatened the woodbury by releasing the walkers, breaking and entry of the Guvs home, and then mich shoved her katana in his throat.

Then she claims that she is being held prisoner, but is allowed to leave. i hope mich gets eaten alive in the next episode.

Andrea should stay in woodbury, looks like a great place with a fantastic fuhrer, i mean leader!

Exactly. Remember, these aren't all trained assassins, and this isn't Kill Bill. Most people would get used to killing walkers, but would still have issues with killing people. Its what makes Michonne more moral than the Gov.

Lmao! What!?! Um what do u call him tricking, ambushing an then MURDERING all those soldiers? He didnt kill them in self defense! He got their location an had his men surround/murder US soldiers for no reason other than he wanted to take their guns/ammo/supplies...

Thats cold blooded murder!!
