Ever second of Super 8. I wont give anything away but you all MUST go see!!! I just adore JJ Abrams and how his movies/shows revolve around the people and the humanity aspect - with the creature aspect in the backround. Its all so effective!!

Pass on the biggest film of the year? If you loved Goonies, Close Encounters, ET, Stand by Me...as intended, it felt like a mixture of all those amazing films yet was its own.  =D

Not sure if there are other Harry Potter fans on here, but here's one of my favourite scenes from the films:

Just found out today they are making another Ghost Rider. YAY!

I know there were mixed feelings about the first one but I loved it. I am a huge Ghost Rider fan, love Nick Cage, love Sam Elliot and when they rode together it was a total nerdgasm for me.

"God damn it, that's not all! Because if one of those things gets down here then that will be all! Then all this - this bullshit that you think is so important, you can just kiss all that goodbye!"

From Aliens.

Following on from KJ500s' Aliens post, I have to say that most of that movie is my favourite scenes, but here are a few.

1. Hicks teaching Ripley to shoot: "You started this. Show me everything. I can handle myself." ... "Yeah, I noticed."

2. Bruce Willis to Daman Wayans at the end of The Last Boy Scout: "Water's wet, sky's blue, and old Satan Claws, he's out there." .... "So what do we do?" .... "Be prepared son, that's my motto: be prepared."

3. The end of Winter's Bone when Rhee Dolly has to hold up the frozen arms of her dead father out of a lake while her companions chainsaw them off, so she can take them to the local Sheriff's office and prove that he's really dead. OUTSTANDING. Incidentally, the book is better than the film.
"I like to keep this handy. For close encounters." Corporal Dwayne Hicks, Aliens.

Damn you guys make me feel old. For me I've watched thousands of movies (literally) of every genre and many of those thousands have far too many great scenes. But of all of them... well, this one...

Chaplin's character, a homeless tramp of the depression, went through hell to give the love of his life a chance to see again. He goes to prison for it, but she gets the operation and then he's released from prison much worse off than he was before... and then fate.

I'm sorry ya'll but if there is perfection in a scene, this is it !

342 takes to get that one !

The Stuff! I haven't thought about that movie in forever! It's such a sleeper, no one ever mentions it when they talk about horror films. Maybe because it was sorta like the Blob so it got dismissed? While The Stuff is about gloppy, scary stuff that destroys people it's actually much different from the Blob. I mean you don't eat the Blob. :D I loved it. It was funny and weird. What a concept. An addicting dessert that kills you. Awesome. So '80s. I think I need to see it again.

The Jesus Wept in Hell Raiser is fantastic.

My favorite all time is the end of Planet of the Apes. Greatest twist ever. The Marky Mark one is horrid. Rise was pretty fun IMO
