My all time favorite movie moment (I have lots but this is my favorite) is from Jurassic Park. The 'Welcome to Jurassic Park' scene. I saw this movie sooo many times and each time it still makes me cry. And that goes back to my obsessive love for dinosaurs growing up (and still) and wanting to be a paleontologist.

I dug up my parents entire 2.5 acres looking for them. Although I know how horribly wrong it would be to clone them and bring them back into this world, I feel 110% what Dr. Grant feels upon seeing them for the first time. Moved with awe and disbelief and amazement and stunned by their beauty. I think I'd have totally fainted. And the scene is even more perfect with the awesome music.

There's probably too many to list, but at the top, it has to be:
Planet of the Apes, when Charlton Heston sees the Statue of Liberty.

Brilliant one, but I liked the scene in Casino, where they kill Joe Pesci and his brother :D

What, I'm a weird girl :D

Don't worry there's tons of more bizarre things to like. For exammmmmmmpleeeeeeee (anyone catch the Phineas and Ferb reference?):

I like the part of Evolution where they try and attract the flying bird and Sean William Scott tries singing to it.

Pretty much every reference to Scotty Doesn't Know in Eurotrip.

See not weird at all right?  :D

@Xavier - Evolution is one of my favorite movies. Corny and idiotic, but still a favorite :D

@DayWalker - I misread your entry. I noticed afterwards, when I saw the name and the Statue of Liberty written. I meant Mark Whalberg, in the remake, when the apes come and get him, near the Lincoln-Monkey statue.

Unfortunatly the 'media' link doesnt support hulu for some reason. But here is the short clip:

http://www.hulu.com/...o-jurassic-park

That one hits home for me, too. When I was 5 years old my father took me to the Museum of Natural History in NY. I haven't been there in many years but back then they had a dinosaur exhibit at the top of flight of stairs. I walked up the stairs and the first thing I saw was the T-rex skeleton. With the sun shining down on it from a huge skylight. Thus began my lifelong infatuation with reptiles. I don't know if I could handle seeing a live dinosaur. I remember the first time I bred a species of monitor. It was ackies (varanus acanthurus). I had bred other species of snakes and lizards before but man when that monitor head poked out of the egg....gadzooks that's the cat's pajamas.

What were we talking about? Oh yeah yeah yeah movie scenes. Hmmmm. Off the top of my head the final scene of Rocky II when he wins the belt. Yeah, corny, but I like it.

Okay Reaper, the end scene in Hellraiser II does kick ass. I'll tip my hat to you on that one. @ PinkpantherRO, I thought the remake of Planet of the Apes was poorly done and very forgettable, IMO.

I didn't care for the original at all very campy imo but some people like that me I like realism and good acting unlike Heston lol.

Awesome scenes!!!  PinkPanther, I LOVE that scene from CUBE.

I even share one already posted but I am posting it as well with my explination. heheh

A few more of mine:

Zombi -  Zombie vs Shark scene. Sharks and zombies together rock!! ‘Nuff said.

Hellraiser: Hellbound - The scene where they catch up with Frank once again. The vertical openings start to appear in the walls as the cenobites arrive. The pale light illuminates the room and the shadows darken and grow before dissipating a bit as the cenobites appear through the openings and chains shoot out and into Frank. Soon after he is all stretched out as the chains pull at him in all directions and he utters his famous “Jesus Wept’ before exploding.

................(continued as it only let me post 2 media files in one post)

ALIEN
The freakishly scary and gory scene where the baby alien burst from Kane's chest. (The reaction of the crew is genuine as only the actor who played Kane knew this was gonna happen)

JAWS - "You're gonna need a bigger boat" Possibly the movie I have watched the most throughout my life. I also include Quints harrowing speech of his experience on the (true story) of the Indianapolis as my next favorite scene. (no clip) Best. Speech. Ever.(although the opening scene with Chrissie was VERY intense)

"So, eleven hundred men went into the water. 316 men come out, the sharks took the rest, June the 29th, 1945. Anyway, we delievered the bomb . . ."

A Clockwork Orange – Eyelids Scene
The scene with Alex where his eyelids are clamped open and his face is secured with straps and electrodes and he is forced to watch violence and stuff until he is sick. (After the rape scene)

Alaster Simms A Christomas Carol – Jacob Marley visits Scrooge to warn him that he best change his life around before it is too late.
One of my all time favorite stories and ghost scenes!! The Alaster Simm version is the BEST verison!
“I wear the chain I forged in life. I made it link by link and yard by yard, and of my own free will . . . I wore it”

hhhmmm. Well, I will give you that as far as the franchise goes from SAW 2 - SAW 7 but SAW was AMAZING and I gotta go with SAW. It stands alone. Plus I <3 James and Leigh.

Dont insult teh SAW!!!! I dont have time to list all the reasons I disagree with you. ;)

(As spoiler free as I can make this)
Martyrs was wicked brutal. Especially the middle-ending was amazing. Our mademoiselle didnt see 'things' as she thought she would in the end (thanks to Anna) - hope became HORRIFIC. A nothingness. And in her decision to spar her followers from what she did find out regarding the afterlife - she became the movies true Martyr. Astounding film.

Thanks LDG, Alien is one of my all-time favorite flicks. So is Jaws. @Reaper, some remakes are better some worse. I thought John Carpenters The Thing was better than the original (which I love), but The Day The Earth Stood Still remake was just aweful. I was very disappointed with the remake of The Omen, considering what a great cast it had.
