I just found this gem on Bleeding Cool, a variant cover of issue 101. The article says there will be a few more variants...

God Dammit. Hahah. Foxy Love. I'd be all about Michonne sporting an Afro though. Serious.

I actually like the variant. I've been way into retro looking artwork lately. Haha.

Its totally a cash-in. I'm not saying I'll buy it, but it is a pretty cool piece of artwork.

Its paying homage to Foxy Brown. You know, from the 70s? I like homage-pieces like this...

Yes i understand the referance to the 70`s that still dont make me hate the cover i think its awful and does not fit with the comic at all.
You like it cool to each his own i just think its terrible but thats my opinion.

I can agree that its a money-grubbing move by Kirkman though. You save money by printing four to five times the amount of inside pages that you would need for a normal run, then print a bunch of variants to burn through them. They become collector's items, he gets thousands of raging fans to buy each variant cover, and he'll save money on printing by increasing the size of his job.

It's called being a business man, which Kirkman clearly is, in addition to being a troll and a decent story teller. Haha.

I have been playing House of the Dead Overkill. It's funny as shit in this whole Grindhouse/Blaxploitation format. Knocked off some steam with the Zapper... I have a wii..... I know....

I really love this variant, though I do agree they need to chill out with the variants. After issue 100's variant extravaganza I'm a little burnt out on buying the same issue more than once, ya know?

I will still buy this, as I particularly like the art and want my collection to be complete, but Kirkman is testing my dedication..

I agree. I really like it!! B)

I won't buy it, though - since I'm not a true collector. I did get sucked into the hype and bought the issue 100 variants, but then gave them away when I was in deep depression and mourning over the death of my favorite character. Heh.
