Wow, just Wow.

Bought a box today, can't get them easily over here but managed to find some in Newcastle in a department store. Always been curious to try them, gorgeous things....Going to have to savour them £2:59 a box

Bought some Lucky Charms aswell in the same store £6  Will be trying them first thing tomorrow, hope they are good.

Any of you from across the pond who like any of our stuff ?

Milk Duds are good regardless of the name (they are not a dud lol) I do prefer dark chocolate though.

Lucky Charms are great! I do have a problem if the cereal/marshmallow ratio is not right. Too much marshmallow ruins it for me I like 3 to 1, and if I have to I will pick out some of the marshmallows to meet my standards ;)

There was loads of American stuff, There was some of That Marshmallow Peanut Butter spread, Hersheys Kisses, Hot Tamales, Tootsie Rolls, Root Beer. It was all imported so far too expensive for me and I wouldn't be wanting to "try" that much junk food.

Also had various different M&Ms like Coconut, Wild Cherry Pepsi. Mountain Dew and Root Beer which I've had before.

They started selling froot loops in the UK, had a shit-fit when.I say them and bought a couple of boxes. Used to buy cereal from America, but it was way more expensive. My last import from the states were redvines, I like them but they seem overrated. Tried lots of other stuff, but milk duds are possibly my favourite.

There was an American Guy behind me in the que saw I was buying Milk Duds and Lucky Charms and hit the roof in excitement that you could buy them in the store, He was buying root beer and hadn't noticed.

Lucky charms tasted like shit when I tried them in the US. Waaaay too sugary for my liking. There's a US store in city centre that sells Hershey bars, Mount Dew, Lucky charms etc.. expensive as fuck, not worth buying. I remember seeing Cadbury bars in Walmart, Heinz soup.. not much British stuff though.

Is the opposite true? I mean do the Americans go apeshit for UK stuff?

While I was there (Florida) no, not really. Mainly British tourists buying from the British aisles. Though I'm sure some of the American's on here could give you a better answer.

I keep a box of Twinings in the cupboard for when I feel like a cup of tea.

I think US products are far more popular in the UK than vice versa, though.  However, we are becoming quite fond of UK pub fare.  Pub-style restaurants are a quite popular dining/drinking choice in the US these days; whether or not it offers full authenticity, I much enjoy nibbling fish & chips or shepherd's pie while enjoying a pint (or six).

Can't beat a bit of Pub Grub, we have a chain made specifically for this. Called Wetherspoons. Food is Hit and Miss as majority of it is Microwaved, can't beat Pub Grub cooked from fresh in a kitchen though and the odd pint.

That's why the chefs there are called "microwave technicians" haha. Seriously.

For some reason, I just imagined BWR as an illegal Milk Duds smuggler and it cracked me up.  Maybe it's because the initial game made me think of Robert De Niro, and the kissing talk made me think of Fredo.

Beware of the Milk Dud mafia!

I've long had a dream of opening a restaurant that serves $2 TV dinners on fancy plates for $30 a pop.  I bet I could get away with it for a while.  "Sorry, no special orders. The chef is very picky about his vision. The salisbury steak MUST come with the green beans and corn. So sorry."

Had the Lucky Charms this morning, enjoyed them. Not going to eat them every morning though. 6 bloody quid they cost me.

Never had Milk Duds, but they sound delicious.

When I went to England 6 years ago I discovered Maltesers and was hooked on them when I was there. You can get them in Canada, but I don't go up there much. In fact I think it's been over 4 years since I've been and I only live around 90 minutes from the border. Perhaps it's time for a road trip. Most people go over the border for booze. I'll go for candy. Posted Image

I hate Milk Duds. Always have. Not my type of candy. I don't liked Malted Malt Balls in the first place though. I would much rather...

Dude, smoke a bowl and then eat a bowl of Lucky Charms and come back and tell us how shitty they taste... for kids it's fine... for adults it's fine... as long as you smoked a bowl before hand.
Same goes for Fruit Loops and Chips Ahoy Cookies.

Munchies.... MMMMMuuunnnnnccchhhiiiieeess!!!

And dessert is a oddly shaped, scalding hot shit brownie that is so hot that it bonds to the plate and you can only pick off near-molten bits to eat, which subsequently burn your tongue.:P

And your only question is "What the hell did they bake this in? the Sun!?"

I can tell you that some of us DO lose our minds for British goods.  I am particularly fond of British chocolate.  After spending time in Europe, I really don't care for American chocolate (I'll eat it mind you, but only out of desperation).  I am a huge Cadbury fan.  You can get it here, but it is not the same (taste or variety).  I am particularly fond of the Cadbury biscuit bar.  And the fruit and nut bar.  And Flake.  AND the elusive Cadbury Creme Bar (which I have only found in Heathrow Airport).  Hell, I like all of it.

In fact, I am crossing the pond in December (will be staying in Cambridge and visiting London, etc) and you can bet that I will have a carry on bag specifically designated for chocolate contraband.

Perhaps we should consider an exchange program.  I'm happy to bring along Milk Duds.  ;)

Milk Duds are not very tasty, IMO. If you want chocolate covered caramel, Rolos are far superior. I was always disappointed to get Milk Duds in my Halloween treat bag. Maybe they still make them to ship them across the pond. :P
