Before the end of Season 2, it was announced that a couple of Webisodes would be released in the interim, before Season 3. Many people were excited at that prospect and have been anxiously waiting for any indication of webisodes. There has been so much hype and snippets of information and photos released on the Season 3 filming but I havent seen or heard anything about the Webisodes.

Has there been any news on it that I may have missed? Have they decided not to do it?

If they are going to go ahead with it, does anyone have any idea what direction the story is going to cover or when it will come out?

The Walking Dead withdrawal symptoms Im having are becoming so unbearable, Im itching for the Webisodes.

I was thinking the same thing recently. I haven't came across any info or pics etc associated with the webisodes. Last year, we were told before the webisodes were online that it would be centered around "Bicycle girl", right?
They'll probably be some info soon. Hopefully

I'm dying for more webisodes too, even though the acting in the first set wasn't all that great but the action was good.

The Hannah/bicycle girl webisodes I think are done. I watched all of them on AMC.com. I think they are still on amc's website. Are they're supposed to be new ones?

I'm hoping for webisodes showing at least a few characters lives before the apocalypse (ex: Carol and her family). Or maybe another flashback, similar to that in Chupacabra, showing what's happening during the outbreak (ex: Dale rescuing Andrea and Amy)

Probably won't happen though. Instead we'll probably get another pointless flashback for a random walker.

They don't take long to film the webisodes, so I guess they won't be in a rush to film them. I think last years webisodes were released around October, so I don't think we will hear much until then.

Omg are people seriously saying that the webisodes of the bicycle girl were good? :S
I'm sorry but the acting was atrocious, the storyline was poor and it doesn't make sense... how the hell would she get all the way to the highway if she had her lower body missing.

I was really disappointed and if they're planning on doing something as appalling as that one, I'd prefer if they just shove their plans back into the idea box.
So much potential in those webisodes to create an emotional and compelling backstory yet they ruined it.. *sigh*

In the webisode, the bicycle and Hannah were in a residential area. She was devoured in the street. In 1x01, Hannah was lying "lifeless" in a community park next to the bicycle when Rick came upon her. Same girl, different bicycle?

Hmm that would make sense. Maybe the place where Hannah lived was very near to the community park; I just can't see her dragging herself very far in because there would have been plenty of 'meat' for her in the residential area, and zombies tend to stay where they are unless they see humans or are attracted by loud noises.

I thought the Hannah Webisodes were very poignant. Yeah, maybe the acting wasn't all that, but the story was heartbreaking and engaging. I found myself thinking about poor Hannah and what her life must have been like in the fictional context of TWD before the world went to hell. She must've loved her ex-husband and had a beautiful wedding with tender lovemaking before he left her for Number Two who ended up trying to kill Hannah's kids when Sloppy Seconds became walker-fied. Before kissing her kids goodbye when dropping them off to school, she might've gotten a latte at Starbuck's every morning before going to the crappy job she had to have to support her two kids after the divorce left her destitute.

In the story, she gave her life so that her kids could have a shot at surviving, and who knows what became of those poor two kids in the context of the show? My heart went out to her in the show--I literally wanted to reach through my computer screen and give her skeletal corpse a hug.

I agree... The whole concept was horrible. I dont want another web series if its going to be that bad.

On the Talking Dead show Kirkman nodded at the possibility of having a Sophia based webisode because so many are wondering what happened while everyone was looking for her. If so at least it'll give the actress a chance to work again.

They need to do a Merle escapes and get to the truck/van webisode... it'd be awesome. Try to imagine taking a red-hot iron to the stump of the hand you just cut off... think... of the pain, the smell of cauterizing flesh... I shudder to think about it... I don't think I'm as tough as Merle is.

Not sure about the Sophia webisode. We all know what happened to her; it would be quite a short webisode.

A Merle escape webisode wouldn't quite click since it is now post-Season Two. However, it could be a tie-in to the next season. Afterall, we all know he managed to escape.

I almost want to see a Morales and Family Webisode. What happens to Morales and his wife and kids when they part ways prior to the whole CDC she-bang (so to speak)?

We dont know what happened to her at all.

She was lost and then she somehow got into the barn.

Otis somehow couldve somehow put her in there.
She couldve hidden in there and gotten bitten.
She couldve hidden in there and just got infected.

We really dont know how she got in there.

I read somewhere Kirkman said on Talking Dead I believe? that Otis was the one who found Sophia as a walker and put her in the barn. This was prior to Carl getting shot, so Otis never mentioned anything about it, as the focus shifted to Carl. Otis goes on the mission with Shane, he gets sacrificed, thus nobody knows he found Sophia.

I agree with this assumption, and it's only that. Although pivotal, I just don't foresee a replay of this event.

I'd like to see this too. I really enjoyed Morales and thought he made an excellent addition to the group. Just playing around with the story a bit in my head, but it would be so cool to see him and his family in Woodbury. Like maybe something happened (not sure what) but he got sidetracked and ended up staying there.
It's all daft. Daft like buggery, innit?

I have a hard time believing they'd do a webisode with anyone but Merle or people like the "actors" from the first ones.  I seriously doubt the actors who portrayed Otis and Sophia would fly in to film 6 minute short films.  Michael Rooker is already on set however and would make things more practical.

This. I'm with you, I cried at the end cause really, it was tragic and heartbreaking. The acting wasn't amazing, but the storytelling was.

That said, I really wish we could leave the whole Sophia saga behind, no webisodes about her, please.

I would not be surprised if the webisodes will focus on the lone zombie walking in the fields during season 2. A little back story to how he became infected and then ends with him seeing a car driving from the distance (Rick & Shane)

I would like webisodes based on what happened to Sophia. Sure, we know what happened to her but how did it happen. People saying that she shouldn't have her own webisodes because 'we've already seen her' are saying exactly the opposite to what they said about Hannah and her life story. We saw her lying on the floor without half her body; why did they make a webisode about her then? We know she got bitten, we know they hate most of her before she turned. So why?

Because we want to know more.

And I'm sure out there, there are a lot of fans who wondered how Sophia managed to get sidetracked.. did she lose her doll before she got infected? Did she hide in that house Daryl searched in? Did Hershel see Sophia as she was being dragged into the barn by Otis?

So many questions unanswered; but for once I think that they should be answered.

I don't think there should be a story on the Morales family because it's kind of what the zombie apocalypse is about; not knowing. Sophia we should know about because she was with them nearly all along yet she turned into a walker.. However, Morales left shortly after and was perfectly fine; not knowing if they survived or not is the magic of stories like the walking dead. Besides, no-one in the series ever mentions them. Ever. I just don't think it'd be appropriate to include them now...

A Merle webisode would be pointless since he's going to be in the next season and I'm quite confident that they'll show a flashback of what happened and how he survive.

Well in the matter of a day or two in Days Gone Bye she dragged herself quite far from where Rick originally found her. He had to quite a decent amount, so her dragging herself is not that far fetched.

Like others have said, Sophia has aged since her being cut from Season Two and is probably about a foot taller in height.

The webisodes will likely feature characters outside the main cast of seasons one and two.

What about the group Randall was part of? We really don't know too much about them. Are they more militaristic and armed? Seems like they are more sinister, which we haven't seen too much in TWD. In a real end-times apocalypse, you'd see more uncivil urban thugs roaming about.
