The first person who came to mind when I saw the question is my ex-boss's idiotic alcoholic son.  The only way I would even think about saving him is if after he was saved he was sent on his way.  I don't hate him or anything, but he is a total moron who would end up getting others killed.

Other than people like that, I would probably make a huge effort to save anyone else, even if it was someone I hated.

My family is priority one.  If family is not in danger, I will help anyone that I can without giving myself a death sentence.  Once they are saved, then I will have to consider if I want to let them join the group.  Safety in numbers and all.  Some people just have an instict to save people no matter what.  Firemen and police will often put themselves in a position were the odds of survival are bleak.  Some people are hardwired to put danger out if their head.  Even save criminals who would just as soon kill them given the chance.  Hard to say what I would do until I face that situation.  I like to think I would be able to judge the risk/reward.
