I shouldve added that the black/white cat superstition depends on your part of the world. I have 2 black cats so I would be double fkd if they bring bad luck. ive always had an aversion to white cats

Yes, that makes more sense then. :)

Can you recommend a good book to help decipher dreams? Ikeep have the same ones, things may change location, people etc, but thepremise remains the same.

Yes, I can! The ones I really enjoy (and can remember the titles of) are:

The Hidden Meaning of Dreams
The Dream Book: Symbols for Self Understanding
Dreamer's Dictionary

Thanks I’ll check them out; I’ve only come across drivel.Thought about going to a hypnotist but I’m afraid they imprint with a word thatmakes me bark or something when I hear it.

Are you sure you uncovered a superstition, and not a murder plot? :P

Posted ImageSweet Sis - I was gonna say the same thing. Or maybe your dad wants to grow his hair long and won't get a cut. And moms trying to be sneaky about it. LOL
It's all daft. Daft like buggery, innit?

I'm not superstitious at all. I just wear religious medallions, have to have the exact same things in my pockets every day when I leave the house, won't have anything to do with ouija boards or seances, and have a good luck troll tucked up over my doorway.Posted Image

The thing about cats is utterly foolish.

I say "Top O'the Morning Maggiepie" whenever I see a magpie. I don't know why I do it?

Hmmm, that's somewhat similar to a thing I do Barry. Whenever I meet an attractive woman I say,.............................................

I am not superstitious but I am mildly OCD. Like Roamer I have to have the same things when I go out,  I hang my clothes in meticulous order and all my stuff has to be arranged in a particular way but. I also frequently rearrange my stuff hoping to find a better way.

I guess I believe in luck to some extent. I try not to but I have seen things that are hard not to attribute to luck. I have also seen karma in action to the extent that I am a believer

None of the well known things like ladders, black cats, numbers, spilling salt, etc, etc, that bother me.  I don't believe in ghost and I am not scared of the dark. While I am wise enough to avoid dangerous situations, nothing really frightens me in everyday life. Put me in a situation where my life is threatened and I will experience fear as anyone should.

Oh yeah, someone said they had an aversion to 666. I opened a branch office for my company years ago and the local telephone exchange was 666. I had a boss that was a bit bothered by the number and he asked me to get it changed. I called him back the next day and told him they couldn't change it and that was the end of it.

For a reasonable fee, I will quell minor outbreaks, enforce quarantines, and dispatch infected relatives.
