Anyone out there superstitions?

It can be the run ofthe mill, walking under ladders, black cat crossing paths, to more obscure ones,or some you find you.
For example I gotno problem with the ladders and the cats but I always have to get into bed onthe same side or Im sure I wont sleep well (not sleep on the same side, justget into bed same side.)

Also ever since I’ve watched Candy Man I never tried thatmirror thing, same goes for the Bloody Mary Legend, even though I read BloodyMary was the nickname given to Mary I of England for burning “herritics”

I also know sometimes sports players wont shave during finals.

Me, neither.  I think about it, but I just won't do it!

I'm half and half like you I will not do the mirror things, they just creep me out. I also believe in ghost I don't know if that's superstitious. But I don't believe in the ones like putting an umbrella up inside is bad luck or braking a mirror bring 7 years of it.

I'm superstitious about the number 66 6 (I won't type it together LOL).
Must be from the movie, The Omen or something.

I always hold my breath going through tunnels.  The irony is, I can't really remember what is supposed to happen to you if you don't.  I mostly do it out of habit.

I say "Top O'the Morning Maggiepie" whenever I see a magpie. I don't know why I do it? Also, I refuse to stand beneath any large and heavy object such as a grand piano or safe when it is being winched up the side of a building. That's not for me, oh no Siree Bob.

I can't pass somebody while going up the stairs, I must stop and make way for them else I feel bad luck will strike for the rest of the day.

My husband used to run a pet store.  One day, a woman came in and bought some stuff, paid and her change came out to 6 dollars and 66 cents.  She left - practically running - leaving her purchase, her payment and her change behind.

Black cat crossing your path is just silly. I owned purely black cats growing up and had no astounding good or bad luck as a result. :P

I do however believe that our dreams have much meaning and some are true premenitions/glimpses into a more spiritual awakening. I have an extensive collection of dream journals I've kept from a young age and alot of experiences with lucid and vivid dreaming. I have no doubt that some are far more then a bunch of nonsensical, random images and their meanings are revealing if our minds are open enough to interprit them and to ignore those would be unwise.

Did she get knocked over by a blond haired moppet on a kid's tricycle as she ran out of the shop?

its actually white cats are unlucky not black cats crossing your path.

I have many superstitions which have become ocds, I always have to put shoes on floor in correct sides left and right, never put new shoes on table, salt over left shoulder, ladders, I have to pick up unsighhtly trash on the floor to bring me luck, lucky Lincoln imp is always with me. those are just a few.

I was checking out at Walgreens and my total came to that same amount. I quickly grapped the first thing I saw and had the cashier add it to my purchases.

The superstition is actually that back cats are lucky if they walk towards you and unlucky if they walk away from you. And a black cat with a SINGLE pure white hair can also bring good fortune to the one who removes the white hair.

But if a black cat crosses your path under the moonlight . . . death is close.

I shouldve added that the black/white cat superstition depends on your part of the world. I have 2 black cats so I would be double fkd if they bring bad luck. ive always had an aversion to white cats

Are you sure you uncovered a superstition, and not a murder plot? :P

I parked my car and was walking to Target, when I noticed a penny on the ground. I was having a bad day and thought, oh, I'll pick it up for luck. I bent down and picked it up and didn't notice that I had come to the curb. I tripped over the curb and went flying almost into the doors of the store. I did what most people do....quickly look around to see if anyone noticed. There were two girls laughing. I don't blame them, I'm sure I would have been laughing, too.
It was one of those days, if it wasn't for bad luck, you'd have no luck at all.

I'm not really superstitious. It crosses my mind when someone superstitious happens to me... such as a black cat passing by me, or being forced to walk under a ladder because its the fastest way. But, I don't think that bad luck is ever going to happen anymore than it already does in every day life.
