Unfortunately i'm pretty sure she's still there to continue being a background character, basically only working as someone Herschel and Maggie must continue to protect. Towards the end of season two she finally had more lines and even half an episode dedicated to her...she's been my favorite since she came running out of her house in episode 8. Not even sure why that is, besides rooting for the underdog. Beth for the win!
