someone puts a video up, trying their best, so I put a comment encouraging them and thanking them for taking the time. What happens? some brainless troll thinks it's funny to mock and starts with some pretty nasty insults. not just me, he goes on at everyone. If everyone was made to identify themselves then there would be a whole lot less abuse on it.

Why? - I'm sure most people are decent enough, but when given the gift of anonymity turn into total wankers.

I'm a member on another forum in UK which is about Soccer, there is a,lot of rivalry and it spills over to insults and abuse, threats and vitreol.

I come here, and everyone is polite, friendly, sociable and decent. Brilliant forum, good people and it's a nice to feel I'm among friends.
I got me a plan - it's called "save ass"

Ha, you don't know me, I'm a 220 pound MMA fighter who was in the Special forces for 10 years,i'm also an expert hacker and know where you live, so expect a knock at the door from my Mafia friends or I might even turn up in my Bugatti Veyron I paid cash for while working as a bodyguard to Madonna who was my gf at the time but I left her to go on a secret mission while working as a CIA assassin.

for I am Internet tough guy.......and you shall fear me when I scribe.

In reality, what's the point of whining about mean people on the internet? Its never going to change. The internet is a mean place, if it was a place in the real world it would be a slum. Now Cyberbullying is actually A THING? Here's an idea... How about if you don't like the mean people online, you get offline and go ride a bike or something. Food for thought. ;)

I for one, love the mean people online. They give the internet character.

I don't mind mean people, I've worked with some really mean arsewipes in my time - they're easy to handle. What I don't like is people being something they're not, hiding behind a veil of anonymity and being so cowardly as to keep hidden yet continue to be verbally abusive.. Attacking those who try to do their best.

Mean people are part of life, it's not the meanness, it's the cowardice - also a common trait, but one less readily admitted to.

If you'd said you had a Honda Accord, I may well have quaked. Everyone knows the Veyron is for wussies.

Good post, Youtube for some reason attracts negative posts.
It's weird.  I placed a ton of music videos I have shot with professional equipment, bands, and a commercial travel video.

I received a lot of angry posters.  Not as many as some but some really uncalled for crap.

I rarely read the comments anymore on Youtube.  I just watch the show.

The comments are too negative.  Which thanks to you has given me an idea for a new post.....

Reminds me of the story, how every pub in England has an ex SAS member who took part in the embassy siege.

Have you ever seen an internet tough guy finally meet up with the real tough guy he'd been fucking with? It was hilarious. The guy was running his mouth in public, bragging about all the things he said to this guy online. And then the man showed up. Golden Gloves boxer, former Army Ranger. He wiped the floor with this guy, just playing with him. I loved it.
