I think at the end there was a lot of "brand new" walkers

Great issue, first time there's been an issue that's been full of action that's been released since I've caught up on the comics a few months back, and it's nice to feel the excitement in waiting for the next one.

Even if a lot of us saw it coming in issue 97, it s a shame to loose Abe. Eugene is to blame for it, he s the one who make them hit the road "in secret".
At the end of last issue i was sure that Eugene was kind of linked to the saviors but now with the hostage thing and his discussion with Abe i am confused. I still think that Eugene had something in his mind. He said that they would have to stay away to manufacturate new ammos (and not retrieving some items like he said the 1st time) so they were supposed to be out for some days without telling anybody?
The guy is a genius so i doubt he would do something that stupid.Plus why waiting for Rick to get back from Hilltop to not telling him his plan ?
From there i came to 2 guesses:

-He just wanted Abe out of their love triangle with Rosita and offered him a walk à la "Rick and Shane TV show" (to me Abe sounded like Rick in this scene of the TV show) but got interupted by the saviors

-He foresaw (thanks to his intellingence or by being involved) the attack of Alexandria and wanted to escape with Abe only.

I would go for the 2nd plot. But with a lot of questions (did he wanted Rick to be back in Alexandria to die in the attack ? was he the one who gave some signal for the attack?did he wanted Abe to live? is he a Savior ?Has Rosita been used in some way to force Eugene do things?i ll stop for now..)

Plus someone pointed that the zombies covering the saviors retreat where fresh ones and no rotting things that where usualy around Alexandria.Could be the secret weapon of the saviors, ZOMBIES (they re no bikers, they re zombie farmers).

About the crossbow guy, i dont see him keeping his weapon for long.Maybe some guy named Daryl could pick it up later...

Based on their heart-to-heart before (and during, you badass Abe) the attack, I'd say they were good friends. Abe, at one point, mentioned something to the effect of Eugene being the closet thing to a friend he had. It also seemed like Eugene was opening up to Abe about the Rosita situation and Abe was offering supportive and friendly (in his own way) advice. Then when Abe was shot, Eugene had tears in his eyes.

I'd say Eugene has no evil intentions in this one. He wants to life a safe life and be useful to the group. And I'd go as far to say that Eugene making bullets could be the only thing to save them from the Saviors. Besides, if you were Dwight, and planning a double-cross, would you let someone bite your junk?
"I ain't walking out to the woods to get my pecker bit off by a roamer, you follow me?"

No one else thinks Abraham death was lame, I don't care Abraham died, he was a good character but they all are going to die sometime.. just the panels seemed to unreal, and I had to go back and review the panels to realize he was talking about something so pointless with an arrow in his head! The love square between those 4 characters  wasn't even interesting and wasted a lot of space. The rest of the issue was good, beside the fact this new leader seems to be Governor 2.0 , burnt looking face, now mangled/chewed off crotch, guys seems like the govenor after hes been tortured by micchone, all angry no real character to him... I didnt think they would go this root an I hope they surprise/shock us by changing it up a bit. There just nothing with this new group that screams original or interesting.. the first ones they meet seemed like people from Mad Max.

I don't think the guy you're referring to (Dwight) is Negan. Burnt face (Dwight) appears to be just another henchmen. Negan's identity probably won't be revealed until issue 100 or later.

I wasn't implying he was Negen, just a leader of this group it seems, not the leader of the saviors but the raid group.
