The perp  was likely on "bath salts". According to the latest reports. I had seen this stuff being sold out of corner stores here in Texas for a while. They passed a bill late last year making the stuff illegal to sell.
They are comparing it to LSD. However  I know a few merle Dixon's who actually tried this crap, and they described it more like crystal meth. Ive seen freaky meth heads get super psycho and violent. Ive witnessed them hurt themselves and others. Bottom line is these supposed"New style drugs" are lame. I wouldn't put any of that crap in my body. Bath salts, spice, kush, all this stuff is lame and made for idiots like this guy.

TO ALL ROAMERS AND LURKERS, BEWARE.

Edited by Wolfmoon, 29 May 2012 - 02:55 PM.

Wide spread investigation reports from funeral homes, morgues, and hospitals, have concluded that the unburied dead are coming back to life, seeking human victims. It is hard for us here to believe what we are reporting to you, but it does seem to be a fact...

Considering it has been well over 48 hours since the biting occurred, and we haven't heard of the victim dying/coming back and biting a nurse, then we're safe from a Zombie Apocalypse...for now.

But creepy though...

Plus, the attacker wasn't undead at the time of the attack, so there's that. :P

Seriously, though, the whole thing is creepy and sick.

This article say it was caused by Excited delirium

“Excited delirium” is a controversial term first identified as involving cocaine abuse.

Ha ha Laurie Holden weighs in

http://blog.zap2it.c...g-cannibal.html

So far, the only "Walking Dead" voice to chime in on the attack is Laurie Holden, who plays Andrea on the AMC show.

"Don't mean to stir the pot...but seriously, why were those dudes naked in Florida? I mean, what's the story there? The moment before," she tweets.

What is going on out there....seriously things are getting whack.......guys stabbing himself, starts throwing skin and intestines at police.....seriously. Something screwy going on.

http://www.northjers..._at_police.html

Carter was in the corner of the room with a knife in his hand, and he  stood up, he yelled at police while stabbing himself all over his body.  Officers noticed that his intestines were protruding from a wound in  his abdomen, Heinemann said. Carter allegedly threw some of his skin and  intestines at officers as they tried to enter the room, Heinemann said.

The officers ordered him to drop the 12-inch kitchen knife,  but he didn’t. Carter is accused of swinging the knife at officers,  police said. The officers sprayed two cans of pepper spray at the man  without any effect.

(There's that, 2 SPRAYS CANS OF PEPPER SPRAY HAD NO EFFECT)

and then this.....

http://www.clickorla...7z/-/index.html

PALM COAST, Fla. -                  A Palm Coast man was arrested on suspicion of biting the lips off a kitten and strangling another cat.

Angel Vega Roman, 28, was arrested Saturday and charged with cruelty to animals.

According  to the Flagler County Sheriff's Office, Roman told an acquaintance that  he accidentally choked his roommates' kitten a couple of weeks ago and  bit the lips off another black and white kitten named Oreo.  Roman also  tortured Oreo by burning its ear and whiskers with a lighter, a  sheriff's report stated.

...............................

What is sending these guys crazy.

This is how it starts in every Zombie story, sporadic news reports from across the country. Florida one day and Jersey the next day fast spread of the disease, with little to no real news. Luckily we are smarter than the general public and already have em locked and loaded. Good luck my friends.

Eh the 'bath salts' are a speculation from a cop, no forensic results are yet available.

However I did see a picture of the victims face... horrible... also saw a picture from the crime scene, the guy had 2 shots in the back of his head... which says to me that thankfully cops also don't take any chances.

sound familiar......

What’s happening is whenever we see that a person has taken all of his  clothes off and has become violent, it’s indicative of this excited  delirium that’s caused by [an] overdose of drugs,” Armando Aguilar of  the Miami Fraternal Order of Police told WSVN 13 News. “What’s happening  is inside their body their organs are burning up alive.”

Vega said the cop ordered the man to stop, but he did not listen. He  then drew his gun, but “the guy just stood... with pieces of flesh in  his mouth and he growled,”
...................

http://www.zombiezon...ed-in-miami-fl/

update ......

Aguilar said the man ate his victim’s nose and eyeballs.

The officer then used his service weapon and shot the man, Aguilar said, but the gunshot had no effect.

Other sources confirmed that the man refused to obey, and continued  his attack. Aguilar said the officer had no choice but to keep shooting  until the attacker was dead.

Thats how it starts.......
The bit about excited delirium is true.  That's one of the things they reeeally make sure to embed in your brain in the police academy, because sadly, it's something that happens a LOT. You can shoot someone multiple times and even though they're dying, their body does not react right away... due to the "excited delirium". I don't know HOW it works but if I had to guess, even though their organs are burning up, their brain activity is OFF THE CHARTS to the point of not sending the signal of physical harm.

Can someone please reassure me they still make candidates for law enforcement positions undergo psychological testing?

I am normally a "lurker", but I just have to comment on this one.  I found it really disturbing that one of my favorite tv shows is about the walking dead and just when I am jonesing for the series to come back on the air or for the next comic to come out, out pops a guy who eats someones face off and growls......freaky stuff.  But the very first thing that came to my head was......was the attacker a walking dead fan and just took it a little too far to the extreme of being a fan of the show?  LSD or PCP can cause some hallucinations, maybe he identifed with the zombies on the show?  I'm am probably way off base, but it just seems so morbid to me someone would do that in real life.

I understand what would make you think that but it's been proven hat the attacker was a homeless guy. Due to this I doubt he'd even know what the walking dead is; he was simply cuckoo and just went for the flesh of another homeless person. It's crazy what drugs can do to you...
