For *pointless* stupidity, I had to pick Glen vs. the Well Walker.

The others (and all of the other random acts of stupidity mentioned in the thread) have been STUPID - but they actually haven't been POINTLESS.

Well Walker was both stupid and pointless.  Really, was anybody ever going to drink out of that well again, especially knowing that there are other wells available on the property?

Lori, while she frequently does stupid things, has a reason (point) for doing them.  May not be a good reason, but there is point to it.

Rick 'saving' Randall was stupid, but it wasn't pointless.  It was Rick trying to reassert his humanity... and refusing to just shoot somebody that was helpless (the two in the bar weren't helpless).

Those acts of incredible stupidity weren't pointless.

<shakes head>  On the other hand, Glen vs. the Well Walker, while funny, was pointless stupidity.

One thing that isn't mentioned, is Daryl setting camp far from the house half-way the season when he is pulling away from the group. If the herd of walkers showed up on the farm from the position where he is sitting, he would have no chance if he is catched asleep. He set up his tent right at the border of the farm fields and the woods. Also, his camp fire could have drawn attention from nearby walkers roaming around in the forest. The walker Carl was throwing rocks at, also seems to be quite close from where Daryl made his camp, as Carl took the gun from his motorcycle. For a survalist, Daryl doesn't always seem to make the logical decisions.

One of the stupidest things was Randall thinking he could jump from roof to roof like Spiderman. If he was smart he could have gone down the way he got up which hadn't seemed to take him so long. I'm sure his mate would have waited long enough for him to climb down ladders or stairs.

i have 2 say OTHER - how stupid was Shane for not knowing that the window in the barn was boarded up so Randall couldnt have escaped that way? he mustve heard them hammering the wood in place lol. and he didnt even bother to make it look like he'd broken out by smashin the door up a little. What an amatuer hahahaha. For a cop he clearly hadnt dealt with many criminals - im glad he never had 2 solve my murder thats all im sayin lmao

Im sure Darryl would've set up some traps near his camp and he's probably a light sleeper so he wouldve heard/smelt the walkers ifthey had gotten closer, but it might noy have given him enough time to get away so its lucky he did move
