This is not a cheap plug for an irrelevant link or anything like that. I put in some work on this and believe most fans of the show will enjoy this video. I didn't use any fancy techniques or anything, so there admittedly might be some that won't love it, but I do believe the songs lyrics match the clips I chose well.

That said, I'm confident you guys will still enjoy it! My first video was well-received and I think this one is better than my original (which you can see on my Youtube page) :)

It only contains Season Two footage- I hope it'll help make the wait for Season Three more bearable! :)

It's really put together well, the lyrics are perfect, though it seems like it needs a less zippy tune.

Any chance you were checking on a mobile device? For some reason, due to copyright claims, it is unavailable on mobile phones...

Haha, yeah, I know what you're saying. You can check out my first video! That one is definitely less zippy! (It's Season One footage set to the tune of 'Zombie' by the Cranberries. :)

Okay, I'm going to be brutally honest with you because that's the way I am. Technically it is very good. You matched the action in the video with the flow of music very well. You chose some very good scenes to work with also. That was your pat on the back. This is your slap up side the head. I hated the song. Since there is no accounting for taste and someone else could love the song, I don't take points off for that. So you still get a.......

Haha, as long as you like the editing! Now if you loved the song, but thought I butchered everything else, I would probably cry myself to sleep tonight. :P

In all seriousness though, I was thinking while doing the video that this song choice might not mesh well with some of the Walking Dead fanbase. But I found it to work so well with what I wanted to do (plus I do like the song), I felt compelled to use it.

As I said others may love the song. My tastes run a bit darker, but variety is the spice of life. Most of the folks around here are much cheerier than me. Keep up the good work.

LOVE Young the Giant, and you did a really good job with the video, but personally I would have liked a sadder/more intense/darker song! I think that would get viewers more invested in your video because it appeals to their emotions. But Good job! :)

I was thinking exactly the same thing, GL--I really like that Young the Giant song, but think it might be too upbeat for the heavy subject matter that transpires in the video clips. A lot of the scenes are very heavy-duty emotionally, and some background music that's a bit more downbeat might work a bit better IMO.

Video-wise, though, it IS a very nicely done montage--you have a lot of talent in that department, SDM, and I hope you keep it up! :)

Hey, the song does mention zombies. ;-)

Thanks. I debated the same thing, as while the lyrics are far from cheerful, the instrumental beat to the song tends to bring out a different feel for the song. Still, if nothing else, I liked the juxtaposition of it. While the lyrics and much of the scenes showed dark times and hardships, there is still hope to hold on to- and maybe something good if they live/wait long enough.

That said, doubt it will happen- but the video can bring those thoughts/feelings out! :)
