You'd think instead of repeating the same movies 2 or 3 times in the same day, they would air episodes of past seasons of their best episodic shows, but nope... I had to wait for the New Year's Day season 2 marathon before I got a chance to see season 2 for the first time.
Hopefully they don't wait till a week before season 3's premiere to do a s1-s2 marathon.
Although I've seen season 1 enough already to be kind of tired of it. I do, however, need to watch season 1 again - especially the second half; if not just to see if I can appreciate it any more than season 1 given the two season's different feel (Darabont vs. Mazzara).

I liked it the first time through (thought there were some boring moments, but overall not too bad), and was shocked to see so much negativity towards it when I first joined here. A second showing of What Lies Ahead thru Pretty Much Dead Already is something I must do before season 3 starts just so I can see if it really was lackluster compared to everything else.
Plus, it would be cool to see what initiated season 2's second half and if the "slow burn" Mazzara and Kirkman praised so much about really was well-written and worth it.

I've thought about doing this as well, but truth be told, I've never been a fan of intangible copies of movies or shows. Just something about the fact that I can't hold the container the movie or show comes in or the fact that I don't have any nice plastic to tear apart bothers me...
Downloading music off of iTunes I'm cool with since it's the only legitimate and honest way of going about getting music for your iPod/mp3 device, but movies or shows? Meh. For TWD, however, I may change my mind; especially for season 3.
I'll probably just wait for the DVD, but I can understand you wanting to buy it on iTunes if the DVD hadn't even been announced yet.
And I think the "behind the scenes" videos are on Youtube...

iTunes is a STORE, where you buy buy music, movies, audio-books and TV shows... who mentioned pirating (apart from yourself of course).

Yes, I do pirate The Walking Dead, but I also pay for cable to watch new episodes when it is on. I also buy the DVD when it comes out.
problem?

Since then I have become a big fan of everything walking dead. I have bought the comics, I just bought the game for PS3. If I had wanted to, or simply didn't have the money to afford it, I would have pirated an online copy of the comics and the game for PC. But that was my choice not to. I would never think it wrong for someone to freely download a copy of something they love. Especially if they don't have the money to spare.
And some day, yes, I will buy the Blu ray release of the show, because I love it that much. But it is not this day.

Well you do pay your cable bill which subsequently pays for your DVR and your ability to record shows such as TWD. Yes you do pay for internet, but you're not directly paying just for shows thus pirating does have a difference (at least in my opinion).
I know it's cable programming, but I'll be damned if it still isn't annoying that we have to pay for shows to download when we can just watch them for free on TV... (ignoring our cable bill)
And this is all assuming you DO pay your cable/internet bill(s).

It is not the same - one method is legal and one method is not. What you do in your own home is your business, as far as I am concerned. However, it is against the rules of this forum to post references (or links) to illegally obtained copyrighted content. I would appreciate it if you would follow this rule, it would make my job a lot easier. Thanks.

Being in the UK, I have no idea how cable works in the US. Although I know it isn't too dissimilar to how it works here. I personally don't agree with paying TV license (probably the same as your cable bill?), for the main fact that there are many loopholes and inconsistencies with the law that enforces it. Essentially it is just another bill from the Government trying to obtain taxes that aren't put to good use. TV Stations here do not rely on this bill and the quality of programming is not affected by it either. We have had advertisement campaigns here that attempt to scaremonger, coaxing people to renew/purchase their TV license to line MP's pockets.
Here, you can buy DVDR's separately and they do not require a TV license. There aren't many ways out of paying for broadband here, not that I mind. At least your getting something worse putting your wages towards.
