Is anyone reading the story I wrote?

I noticed people doing  a new post each chapter...is that a rule or something I should do?  I just thought keeping it in one post and adding to it should be ok?

Or did no one like it after that?:(

I haven't read your story yet, but when I get a chance (hopefully soon) I'm going to peruse the stories in fan fiction. Looking forward to it! ;)

ZD, i actually like the way you are posting yours, made a comment on your story thread today, that i am really liking the flow and looking forward to see what happens next. If you are away for awhile like i have been, it may be a little harder to know when you update it, i just got caught up last night. Keep up the good work.

As for me it has been lots of work here at work in this hotel. I will try harder to see how cool the reading is. Another thing to add, I like pictures you know. Just joking when I say that but after all reading can create some of the most vivid pictures sometimes.

I write to calm myself down, since I'm at uni and have exams soon, and the writing just chills me out. So I have to admit, I've not been reading people's stories for quite a while now. I've seen yours - looks like it's been going for quite a while. Once I have time, I'll be sure to check it out.

Also, you're not the only one that keeps the entire story in one thread - I do that, and I prefer it. Most people don't link back to their earlier chapters in their new threads, so their older chapters get buried and pushed back entire pages, whereas our style means we can always show off our goodness. From one forum author to another... if nobody is commenting on your story it doesn't mean they're not liking them. Like yourself I would love more comments but apparently not getting them. Lurkers are gonna lurk... but it doesn't mean your stuff is not getting read. Look at view-count and it'l tell you something about how often someone is reading it.

No, there is no rule about how often you should post.
Ideally a writer can put down a chapter a day. But if life gets in the way then that gets delayed, as it is in my case. The pressure of finding another job and all of that...
Just write when you can, post when you feel happy with what you've got and be grateful nobody is picking apart your story like they're doing the TV show... I know I am... grateful.

Thanks guys.

I just want this to be enjoyable for everyone.  One of the goals in my life is to actually write a book.  I started on another one a few years ago based on the Starcraft storyline, I want to get back to it but for now this has piqued my interest.

There was a mention on pictures before; I want to do that and mentioned it before.  Going to try to impement that by taking pics of a couple of the places I talk about in the story.

I wish they had put in the willshire estates portion of the story...that in itself could have made an interesting season.

Which one is yours? I access from my phone, so original poster isn't listed.

I tend to comment on all the stories at some point, but not after every single chapter.

ZD,  I agree with DeadCave, I haven't read your story yet but I'm always supportive of a fellow writer. Sometimes though, people will read and just not comment, maybe they're shy or don't really know what to say. Even those that do leave feedback don't usually do full-on critiques, it's more "I  liked that" or "great job. That's nice to read and it's appreciated but don't depend on it to keep you going or you'll get discouraged when it's not coming fast and furiously. It definitely doesn't mean your story isn't liked. Keep having fun with it! Best of luck to you!

I try to read all the fanfics,  but before today I've never clicked on your story because honestly your title "just a little sumptin" never grabbed my attention. There are so many great fanfics to choose from. Your title has to be intriguing enough to make someone want to stop and click on it.
Now that I've read a few chapters I'm definitely invested and will continue reading as long as you keep posting, but I think a good title is essential, as a writer always remember that is the first thing someone will see and more often then not the title determines whether or not someone gives your book a chance.

Totally understandable, and your writing is superb by the way. Your passion shows in the writing. My title comment was based on something my English teacher told me once when she was less than impressed with my title for some essay :D  and I was so traumatiized it just stuck with me I guess.
