As much as I'd love more TWD, I'm guessing they won't break with convention.  I'd expect to see the season opener at one hour.

As in actual run time 60 minutes, or 47 minutes plus commercials?

Past 2 premiere's have been extended so I would expect the same here -- an hour and a half counting commercials. Not sure why The Killing gets a 2-hour premiere, yet their [AMC's] hottest show doesn't...

Sorry my title should read two hour season premeir......I was think at least 60 actual minutes of show, not counting commercial breaks

I honestly love the killing, but The Walking Dead is AMC's hottest show. It's popular with audiences from teens to adults. the walking dead is spread out gradually throughout a few months so that fans aren't left hoping for more when the finale is over. the killing and mad men are expendable, so they finish their whole season's airing in a couple months.

I'd see them keeping it like the past two season premieres.

Total premiere length of 90 minutes.

About 30 minutes of commercials. At least.

About 60 minutes of actual story.
