All my friends said that once you read the comics you wont  wanna watch the show anymore. Now ive read the comics and im glad to say ill be still around for season 3. I just love everything zombie! And I dont think the start of season 2 was boring. I mean when Rick went to get hershel, and then that guy fell off the roof and impailed his leg on a fence!? that was in the beginning of season 2 right? Someone bring me up to speed on what happened.

Whoever said that to you was probably referring to the first half of season 2 - the first 7 episodes (What Lies Ahead, Bloodletting, Save the Last One, Cherokee Rose, Chupacabra, Secrets, Pretty Much Dead Already), although many of those episodes were actually really good.

The changes surrounding Shane's death had nothing to do with censorship, IMO, and everything to do with the story. It felt right to have Rick kill Shane in the TV series because S2 has really been about the evolution of Rick's character - how he is changing from the 'we don't kill the living' Rick from S1 into this 'this isn't a democracy anymore' Rick at the end of the S2 finale. I think any other resolution to the Rick/Shane arc would have felt wrong.
Just the simple reason that he didnt have gun pointed out and fact that

changed the reason why Rick didn't kill Shane himself in the comic. Id say that show was well played but i still it's identical to what happened in the comic. Except when, where and who. All the pieces are still there.

Yeah, the pieces were there, but I really don't feel it was identical at all. You, yourself, said that the 'when, where, and who' were different, but I'd add that the feeling and the interactions between Rick and Shane were different, as well. The relationship between Rick and Shane was far more complex in the TV series, imo. I think it would have hampered the development of Rick's character, had things ended exactly how they did in the comic.

Anyway, I guess my main point was that I just didn't think it was a censorship issue.

Obviously, this is just my personal opinion, though.
