I've never done a poll, hope I didn't screw it up.
My vote is for stark realism.
If you were the Show Runner

For a reasonable fee, I will quell minor outbreaks, enforce quarantines, and dispatch infected relatives.

I'd go for a different plot based on the world forged in the comics. This because I don't want to know what's going on and I quite like the slight nervousness that erupts in the pit of my stomach when the next episode is due to air.

I picked the last option, a kind of middle of the road choice. Also if I were the show runner I wouldn't be skulking around on the internet. I'd be somewhere doing something involving the spending of money.
Don't be scared. Come with me! It'll be fun. Promise!

LOL, If you were Mazzara, you would be spending 2-3 hours a day on Twitter.
I am a retired geezer and I spend an inordinate amount of time on this interweb. I take a look at Twitter a couple of times a day and I seldom log on when he is not tweeting something. I figured he would go away when the season ended, but he is still there, tweeting away.

Too few total votes to be sure but I think #5 would be the most popular choice.
I am a little surprised that no one voted for #4 considering some of the posts I have read. I know some feel that way but they have not voted or have not seen the poll

Definitely stark reality.

to me I think that #3 and #5 go hand in hand. I voted #5, but #3 could still be attained in the same thought process.

You are right George Gallup is rolling over in his grave. It would have been better with only the first three choices, and then it still wouldn't have been all that.

Uber comic fan, so I guess you can guess what I was wanting
But I am good with them making changes. Just not so many hard changes to characters.

If I was the show runner, I'd buy the rights to Sharktopus and insert him right into the prison storyline!

WWZ with some GN. I'd rather see reality and a non-predictable story.

I haven't cast a vote yet. I am caught between options #3 and #5.
Aside from the idea of the dead rising and walking around, I think it makes the show more engaging to be grounded in the reality of what would happen and how everyday people would react.
The printed material is a great reference point, but I wouldn't want them to follow it page for page because:
1. There would be no surprises.
and
2. There are story arcs and elements that would prove too expensive to produce on television and either the quality of the production would suffer or the story.
So I guess I come down wanting for a realistic, real world portrayal of the characters from the graphic novels with story deviations based on the constructs of the TV-verse.

I chose 5 because I still want the element of surprise but the comic is so good, why fix what ain't broke? So a little of both would be fine.
It's all daft. Daft like buggery, innit?
