well some updates none are good....



about a week ago i got a visit from a village worker somehow they found out about my hideout im still trying to figure out how he came with a 3 grand fine for not getting the proper permants and told me they needed tobe inspected 2 days ago they inspected it and deamed it a death trap and put a lock on the door which is not really a lock but instead they basicly chained the door down they forgot about by escape hatch though.


anyways we cut alot of corners todo this all fast and cheap for me it is safe but for my greedy village it is not in order for this shelter to become legal i would need to drop about 15 grand which im not gonna do.



im very pissed that they found out idk how they found out i think this one guy i showed the property who was interested in buying it snitched on me because we couldnt come to an agreement on the price but idk.



the shelter is not nearly as complete as i would like but if need be i could still use it as a hideout and live there for atleast 4-5 months the suplies are all still in there but it has no electrcity atleast nothing that can last atm its all battery powered lighting i was hoping toget the solar panels working but atm there watching me like a hawk literly they have a village truck parked at the front of the property.



they basicly swetted me on who made this thing i didnt tell them know it would effect my uncles job as he does have a contractors license i told them i made it but they did not beleive me.



im very sad how this all went down im sick to death of my greedy village and im very upset with whoever told them about it.



they also acted very disrespectfully towards me i was told that i am an immature child for building such a stupid things for such a stupid purpose i was also told i was a menace to the community because i was setting a bad example for people and other might try building what i built.


im in this property pretty extensivly my whole plan was to sell it now i cannot so now imma have to either put 15 grand more into it or get off the pot.



i had just bought abunch of stuff also that i do not have the room for in my house like i said im sick to death by this whole thing.



and i am also very worried considering alot of people know about it now idk how safe it would be even if shtf because half my neighborhood knows about it and i have already had some intruders i have founds footprints all over the place that were not there the day before on somones facebook a pic of the top if it was posted its taken down now due to it was proof of a felony but still people know it is there now.



i also have found evidence that somone tried toget in it because the one ed of the chain is scratched to crap i have about 5 grand worth of stuff if not more inside it and im worried its gonna get stolen and like i said i do not have the room in my house for all this stuff.

i have reported the inncident to the cops and there response is i should call them if i catch anyone on the property and that they cannot do anything unless somthing is stolen and even then i can only file a police report which will be thrown away because the bunker is illegal great laws we have here.


i have gone to far to turn away now i think imma cement the door closed and then put a really strong door on the escape hatch i also think imma put some anti theft traps around nothing that will kill or hurt anyone serously but somthing that will make people stay away.



my uncle doesnt want anything todo with it anymore either because he is afraid of losing his livelyhood and i do not blame him he has been great through out this whole thing.



well we will see what happens im just very sad at how this whole thing was handled tbh i wish i never showed it to anyone.

and they just use that crap as an excuse because there all mad i made a shelter without buying 8 grand worth of permits and made there afraid i would have the ability to live without having to pay any property taxes and water gas electricty ect.



i knew this was a possibility like i said my village is crazy with shit like this i knew if they found out it would become what it has i just thought they would never find out.


and the asshole i showed it to was the one who told the village aperently hos brother in law works for them.

Can't you say that the premises are used for underground storage and not habitation?. If they're asking 15k for permits, surely isn't it more viable to get a half decent lawyer for a couple of grand and ask him to prepare a letter informing them that the site is either storage or even to fight your case?.

Best thing to do if you don't get a lawyer, just seal the place closed, then leave it for a couple of months, when the heat is off, reopen it and then relocate your escape hatch / entrance and hide it well. Once they see that you've lost interest in the site they will also lose interest in what you're doing.

^ i talked to a lawyer even if i claimed it was jsut for storage there is elgal problems as i still needed permets and the work is below there standereds because of things like not enough nails int he wood and blah blah blah even though the stucture is fine and would pass in most states.





they did not find the second entrance and they will not the shelter for the most part is capable of supporting me for an extended period of time the only problem is its known now.



i hope that in a few months thing will have died down enough for meto make some changes mainly hidding the main entrance under cement and i have been spreading word the shelter has been removed and taken down in hopes people will not come looking for it in the future.




it still has about 6 grand worth of suplies in it mostly food my old laptop and other suplies.



so if need be and the za happens i will defently be able to live down there for atleast 8-12 months depending on who come with me.

I'm buying some land out here in Georgia, $25 000 for foreclosure, out in the country land is a steal.  So i'll probably spend around $13000, and this is a house with 4 acres.

the wa you get down there is through a small camoflauged hole atop on of the containers within a few months the ground above wil be completly covered with grass.



the only things sticking out are some ventolation holes and a wood stove stack.



now my uncle did most of the construction so i did not have to pay him much.



anyways atm we are setting up the inside one of the rooms is a bedroom one is a storage room one is gonna be a half kitchen half living space and one will be a half bathroom half dogs room.



now we are also looking into installing a slar and wind turbine system for electricity and i am currently buying alot of suplies food ect atm i have 24grand sunk into this project and it looks like imma need anouther 3-5 grand to finish it.



now i know this all sounds crazy but well its not really for zombies it is for just incase of anything but also its a fun project and i figure that peice of land could be 30 grand oneday and i would get my money back and in the mean time i would have a place to hide if needed.



only me my uncle and the guy i bought the land from know about my secret bug out property the guy i bought it from lives in canada now though and my uncle well he could bug out with me and my girl.



anyways tell me what yah think and give me some ideas on stuff to make the post zombie world comfortable.



oh also i have a computer with 8k movies and tv shows downlaoded onto it that willbe my tv it has a 20inch screen so its nice and big and it works off my existing solar system.

If you have a small river I would look at building your own hydroelectric generator,windmill I wouldn't bother with as it draws alot of attention.As for your air pipes some people opt to have a fake tree placed over it as well as placing dummy vents,but even a dead stump would do.

As we discussed in other threads many moons ago gasoline will be gone in about a year after all production ends,personally I would give it 6 months before the fuel you find is tainted and begins to cause damage to your engine.Luckily making methanol or ethanol and converting a car to run on it is pretty simple Convert Your Car to Alcohol

You could also look into a Methanol generator this one is great as it can be used indoors as it converts methanol to hydrogen and both have 0 emissions and run silent.

I would definitely look at buying some food for a minimum of 3 months,I have a 12 month supply for 4 people,while some might think that 5 grand for food is expensive remember these have a minimum 25 year shelf life,there are cheaper things you can buy like TVP I like the nitrogen packs though.I get my stuff here SurvivalOutpost

I don't think so.  I am in that area quite a bit.  It doesn't sound like UDH is describing.  Also I can understand why St. Charles would do that to him.  I am suprised that he was able to purchase the land for 4 grand.  I might be possible that his area is a flood plain.

no that is not my bunker but it is very close it is in rockford about an hour or so away.


and i got the land cheap because of a few reasons.


one the guy who owned the land needed to sell it because he was loosing his house and had abunch of land all over the place that he needed to unload because he needed money.

also the land is full of trees which means if i were to build anything there i would of had to cut down alot of trees which we did have todo lol.


and as for flood its kinda on a hill so not to much but we had a few problems.

It is on the Rock River?  I know that area very well.  It would happen to be Blackhawk Island is it?  Have you ever been there?  They don't give them a hard time.  I am suprised that they would do it to you.

i don't think this is legit....even if dude needed to unload his land quick why would he sell 2 miles of land for 4 thousand dollars. rockford has low real estate costs but not that low. plus the minute he is asked for a pic the place is condemned....he should still be able to post a pic.
