The creepiest moment for me was the shootout at the bar with Rick, Hershel, Glen, and the other group. If you've ever been in combat, you can understand the creepiness of that situation. Zombies don't scare me, they aren't real, and in the show, they move slow and can't make decisions. People with guns hiding in the night, whose intent is to kill you still sends shivers down my spine even after being home from Afghanistan for nearly 3 years.
The creepiest scene from any episode 1st or 2nd season

I have to agree that the pilot episode had the most creep filled moments. That is what hooked me on this show. The Dead Inside Dont Open, the hundreds of bodies lying in the lot behind the hospital (I'm thinking, would you look at each one to see if if was your wife or husband?), the little girl at the gas station, the God Forgive Us, and I could go on. That first episode was the bomb!

I have a few
-The whole hospital scene in "Days gone bye". Creepy, yet memorable scene
-When Hannah starts crawling towards Rick. It shows how extremely fucked up the world has gotten
-Morgan's wife turning the doorknob. One of the creepiest scenes
-Hershel's barn burning down. It was by far the most memorable scene of Season 2

Season 1 Episode 1: Rick walking through the hallways of the hospital in his patient's getup as the lights flicker on and off with everything a total mess. Lincoln's acting was superb throughout the entire hospital scene; he had me thinking he was legitimately hurt.
Season 2 Episode 8: Fat Tony peeing on the floor.
Fat Tony in general. The eye-liner didn't help...

I agree with the Tony scene, I really didn't want to see him piss on the floor but yet it's funny that after Rick shot him, Tony fell in his own piss

Days Gone By was by far the creepiest complete episode: The match lit hallway is textbook horror setting, with Rick in as bout a vulnerable condition as it gets. Shoeless, well almost totally naked, hungry, infected gunshot wound, probably dehydrated, then just randomly roaming the hallway with a scrounged book of matches.
The scene where Andrea is cleaning her gun and doesn't notice a herd walking up on her is some good suspense.
The zombie at the church's facial expression (the one Rick kills) when they follow the ringing bells to the chapel.

I would say this scene was more disgusting than creepy but it creeped me out so i guess it counts. The scene in season 2 when they are pulling that really fat walkers out of the well at the farm, and when they're pulling it out it rips in half. That was the first time in the whole series that i had to look away from my screen.
I still have to look away when that scene comes up ewwww it just grosses me out big time especially when most of his body parts ends up falling back into the well was disgusting

The pilot still gives me chills. I think it is because I think that waking up, alone, in a zombiefied world would be one of the most horrifying things I can imagine. It doesn't suprise me that many people commited suicide.
- specifically the half-eaten person Rick sees in the hospital really chilled me, also the "dead inside" moment and going down the stairwell. Rick was initally just so unprepared for what the world was like now, it put me on edge because I felt like he wouldn't know how to defend himself if a walker popped up at any moment.
- the scene where Jim described what happened to his family, and also when he starts getting visions of walkers when he is in the RV gives me chills
- the walkers on the highway in 2x01
- walking through the walkers with guts smeared on Glenn and Rick; makes me bite my nails even when I know what happens!
Stuff that creeps me out the most doesn't usually involve gore or a lot of violence. It is more the evidence of hopelessness, the feeling that you are alone and there is no way out, or scenes where everyone is holding their breath not to be discovered.

Look closely to the blonde woman Walker on the far left she's watching in amazement of the horse stand on it's back legs with Rick still on the horses back while the other Walkers are just standing there looking on

Not the "holy I'm gonna crap myself right now moment." I'd wager it more around "holy hell I'm gonna crap myself here in a 2nd!"

Moments like the next 2 I've had Zed dreams about thru the years...had me on the edge of my seat!

Shane & Lori conceiving little Shane in the woods & Rick's wedding ring.
(It's like having sex with the picture of Jesus above the bed)
Rick having sex with Lori.
(little Shane's gonna be born a walker)
The gals talking about vibrators by the water.
(I thought Ed was going to confess too)
Andrea grabbing Shane's crotch.
(WALKER! like from Aliens)
Lori peeing on the stick.
(walker biting the wrong face)
Lmao!
Seriously though... When they covered them selves with a corpse face to face too!

How about the scene where Patricia breaks the chickens legs and throws them into the barn....so darn creepy that they were FEEDING them!
Also, the scene where Sophia comes out of the barn...a couple of seconds before she came out I instantly knew that she would! It was so powerful and tragic. Seeing an innocent little girl as a flesh eating corpse is pretty screwed up. I think the little girl that played Sophia did a really good job in acting as a walker.
Seeing the baby car seats was always really sad, not so much creepy...but has anyone wondered where all the infants went? i'm sure they also would have turned into walkers. I guess it's probably way too full on to have baby walkers/dead babies on screen.
But also, has anyone else noticed the complete lack of children walkers??! Apart from the creepy little girl in her slippers in the pilot and Sophia, there have been NONE at all. I've kept my eye out for them as I noticed from the start their absence. What is with this?

Oh! and one more scene that gave me the biggest feeling of impending doom was the last episode of season 2 when the view goes aerial and we see the huge herd of walkers emerging from the forest!

The creepiest scene was one with Ed. It was at the camp. I almost got a he was molesting Sophia vibe from it, or he was at least thinking about it.

The moment Dale was watching the disemboweled cow and hears some sounds behinds him, then turns around to have Ninja Walker right behind him. I did noticed the sounds before he turns around, but I expected to see the walker further away with Dale time to shoot it, not on his back. Then ripping through Dales stomach with his fingers.

In the first series of Webisodes, you had children walkers in the basement of the neighbours, killing Hannah's husband. They looked quite innocent with their party gear on their heads. But stills, you would expect to see kid walkers in streets of Atlanta, it is not that all kids were evacuated before the shit hit the fan.

When Rick rode on a horse to Atlanta and it was so quiet, and all of a sudden zombies started popping up and then a huge hoard came and ate the horse.
Also when the zombies towards the end of S2 were making their way to Hershel's farm. It was so eerie.
