Season 3 should start with Rick lying in a field of trees and bamboo.... he opens his eyes and the camera zooms in on his eyes.  he gets up, and he notices he has been cut on the side.  he sees a dog running and he chases the dog until he comes to a beach.... where he finds the broken fuselage of a plane and a bunch of crying wailing people confused and moping around... then the screen turns to black with a thud sound and the words "the Walking dead" appear on the screen..

I don't think this will be in the first episode, but at some point, I think they will open an episode with a flashback to when Merle was on the roof, show what he went through while escaping and his probable vengefulness, then cue the intro theme.  I think that may be how they introduce the episode where Merle returns.
