I'm probably going to do a crappy job explaining it, but I'll try. It's basically a famous thing that has spread through the internet, like some goofy picture with a caption slapped on it, or sometimes, it can be a viral video. Viral meaning one person posts it, then someone sees it, has a lol moment, then proceeds to show other people, while at the same time other people see it, like it, and it just spreads. For example, have you ever seen a pic on the net with a gray cat, and a caption that says I CAN HAZ CHEEZEBURGER?" Yeah, i don't get it, either, but that is a meme. Or, the video where this baby bites his brothers finger, and goes, "Charlie bit my finger!!" That's a meme.
Basically, what that site was saying is that no one they know nor themselves watch the show, therefore, it's not worth the sensation about it.
Which, granted, 5 years from now, no one will care about Hershel or his infinity rounds, but I can guarantee you, more people have heard of The Walking Dead than www.knowyourmeme.com.
And I was arguing the significance of Hershel with his gun because it IS a hot topic, and it is noteworthy, as it is an example of how the show may have jumped the proverbial shark.
