But seriously though, I was watching this live when it happened. Reminded me of when one of our players at Leicester, Clive Clarke collapsed and had a heart attack during half time. Too many players dying these days from Heart related attacks, needs to be mandatory for players to have check-ups every once and a while, I'm sure some clubs do with their players.

Hopefully he pulls through.

It pissed me off watching one of the fat-cat horse owners from the racing in an interview, he made out how injuries in horse racing are the worst, and said something like "you only get the ball kicked at you in football".

Clarke was on loan from us (Sunderland) at the time wasn't he ?

Just been confirmed on Sky Sports News that he is in a stable condition.

Yep, decent left back. Shame he had to retire afterwards.

Good news to hear him stable, though I feel his career is over.

  • LocationNorth of the Wall. Seriously. I am 200 yards from it.
I'm pleased he's stable, it's always a shocker when someone supposedly so fit has an episode like this. It makes me feel, in my hugely fit and health-conscious life, that there's something going wrong with the world.

Hopefully whatever it was can be found and combated.

Poor bastard.Only 23 years old as well, would be a shame if he doesn't fully recover.
