I always get antsy whenever anyone offers me a crossbow for dinner.

They're great, as long as you use enough barbeque sauce on them....

<sigh>  I should have said "for getting dinner".  Good catch.

If you have enough ammo stockpiled up, guns are the way to go obviously. A long saber type weapon would be very effective also if you know how to properly use one.

I think a tank with a gunner. Maybe this doesn't count though. But the tank could run over zombies like crazy and shoot hordes at a distance with the cannon, and the gunner could mow down the nearby ones.
Another idea is a little bird helicopter with miniguns on each sides... just hover above the streets and mow them all down.

if that's too much, I'd carry around a spas-12 and AK-47. A .44 scoped as a secondary.

Am I the only one who looks at this realistically lol

1 - how many of us can get out hands on a P90, as well as be able to fire it proficiently enough to make the 50 rounds count- this aint COD

2- all this talk of grenades, P90s isn't how it would go down, ZA hits 2moro, you grab what you can easily get your hands on, baseball bat etc not pull out a P90 lol. Once you haul up somewhere maybe you can go looking, maybe you get to a gun store, but ammo isnt being made anymore so light, easily repaired/replaced weapons are the order of the day. A big ass nail through a baseball bat will do me, bows etc are easier to maintain, and are silent so thats maybe a long term goal but ZA hits 2moro I'm going straight for the aluminium baseball bat.

No, having observed the board for a good few months I can categorically state you're not the only one who looks at this realistically. In fact, your choice of an aluminium baseball bat marks you out as being as mad as a tramp in a skip with a butterflied chicken on your head.

God no, if you'd read my posts you'd know I'm a proponent of a big tin of baked beans in a good quality woolen sock. I wouldn't know what to do with a gun, so I think I'd avoid them like I would a Chugger . Posted Image

I had never given it a second thought, but considering how much bloody washing and cleaning and waxing on and waxing off I do it seems like it's karma!

I'd go for a heavy tin can in a sock. I'd take it out of the sock for close-quarters work, or indeed cooking a delicious meal afterwards. And I'd wear the sock.

THIS is the funniest thing I have seen in a while. Comic genius!

For me, I would go for a machete and a Desert Eagle with a suppressor. (That sucker is one tough handgun, fill it with sand and it'll still work!)
The machete, if kept oiled and sharpened, would never let you down.
I'd also like a Nerf gun, just for messing with them before you obliterate their brains!
My mama always told me someday I'd be good at something. Who'd a guessed that something'd be zombie-killing?

Aw, cheers! You can stay! Posted Image

One question: Would you go for one of those Vortex Nerf guns? Master Cade has one and he was showing it off this morning, hunkered down by the sofa, firing it at my flippin' ankles, it bloody well hurt. I nearly shoved the Nerf Vortex where the sun doesn't shine. Let's see you reload THAT you little bugger.

I have to say... It's a bit of an admission... I just don't get NERF and the generic supermarket own brand foam dart/ disc guns. Why are they?

I mean, they take ages to load. Then you lose all the darts. Then you have it confiscated because it's just not fair on the cat. Then when you eventually get it back you haven't any darts. So...

Is it a generational thing?

He's in his mid-late 30s. I don't think it's a generational thing. I don't get it either. But then I'm a nagging woman. :P

It was more of an "I can annoy the missus with this" kind of thing. Plus she wouldn't let me shoot the BB gun at her. (Even my MR lightsaber is relegated to the hallway!)

Denying a man his gadgets is the one power a woman has in this day and age. I won't take that away from her. ;)

I honestly don't remember, I bought some Level III-A plates to see how they would hold up to the 7.62X39. Once I got the plates I had a change of mind and decided to keep them and ordered a cheap plate carrier.

ok so from what iv read on hear everyone is out looking for a big battle with a horde of zombies when u should be looking for a house with a well to hold u pin u shoulding be running around citys looking for zombies to hit with a hammer or machete u should find a good place with a unlimited amount of water to barricade in for some time the best gun in all cases is a 22LR sry to those who want a big bore 45 or 9mm but if for some reson u had to leave ur hole u would want to take as much ammo as possible and u can care  10-1 22LR over all other bullets also if u get a 10-22 u can find 22 short or long not long rifles and shoot them one at a time i fu had to dont try this cuz i dont want to hear someon whent home and fucked there face up shooting the wrong bullets ina gun just saying u can do it i have done it and 22short are very quiet and will go right thew a human skull and then some u should think twich about  fire arm penetration and about knife and spears the best blade u can get is a machete because they are so cheap it retarded and u allmost cant break them iv hit many a bones with machetes to see what it will do and it cutz just fine look at africa how many revolutions have been won by a machete the weapon u chose should be very close to u  one thing iv seen people have over looked is food so u are going to take on 100 zombies on an empyy gut ?  my best choice in weapons in a zombie Apocalypse is a nuke but i dont have one so i have to got for my Remington 870 in the corner and my ruger 10-22 in the other or my 308 win in another :D thats just in this room out of all of them i would take the shot gun and the 22 shot guns for hunting large game/cats and dog if there is any around 22 for zombies but u can weight your self down with all these guns so i would take the 22 over ne thing its really light for a wooden stocked gun and iv barrowed  it to people who have killed deer with it so yeah also it was my dads b4 it was mine the first time it was cleaned in proably 15 years was when i was 6 and cleaned it my self and it shoots just fine so in short a true survivor will be a passive one not an aggressive one the best thing u can invest in is a alcohol ony engine for your can and a still and a 12 foot fence ona compound with a corn feild and sugar so when u do have to leave u can drive out of there and find fule in almost all bars around but u will even tually run out of such things so u better get in shape want to see if u can survive a  zombie apocalys get 45lbs of lead / water put it in a pack and do a 4-5mile walk in a very little time just so u no thats a pack test for the forest service to become a wild land fire fighter  i did it with my dad when i was 12 and did it un 39 min
