Well of course, they want you to stay tuned. All shows do that. I'm glad I came across this site, because we'll be at Disney World so I was going to miss this next episode, which sounds like a whopper. I can't wait to get home and watch it.

i have NEVER been into spoilers, but last night while we were watching the episode after it had been taped, the recording ended EXACTLY in a moment of the preview that showed a group of zombies eating a cow. we noticed that one of the zombies had shane's shaved head. we said, "no way." so we rolled back the previews to note shane's clothes, and it was his jacket, too!!! in rewatching the preview in it's entirety, that clip was just a flash. one would have had to stop it in that EXACT spot to notice that one of the walkers eating the cow was shane. i am devastated that AMC would show that clip!!! it is by mere chance that my DVR stopped at that second. others have been talking about this scene, and here's exactly what it showed in that frozen moment. one zombie behind the cow facing the camera. a zombie with a shaved head & a navy blue jacket to the left with his back turned & a zombie in a white & gray striped hoodie with his back turned to the right. all kneeling eating the cow.
questions over whether the photo of zombie shane is real or not are totally quelled in my mind at this point after seeing that clip. it's for real

Randell surprizes me though, I guess we will never know whose side he would have tried for ultimatly.
Lori even though I don't like shane, if that rumor is true I'm gonna hate her even more now.

I think they may cast someone to fit her role that goes against what she looks like in the show. They may choose to make her white/asian/etc. Or, an even cooler idea, is they have a somewhat well known actress set to play her role. Either way, they're keeping the actress a surprise. I like the idea of bringing in a well known actress. Clearly it won't be someone really high budget, nor what I want that, but I'm thinking more along the lines of someone we'll just recognize for work elsewhere.

BUT
Thats not the only reason I think he is the best character in the show. I was never a comic book reader until into the 2nd season when people were discussing TV vs comic, and I downloaded all 92 issues...and read them over the space of 3 days!
Being a fan of the comics, I have found myself a much bigger Shane fan. Why?
1/ TV Rick is a very much toned down version of his comic counterpart. TV Shane seems to have more of the rashness and the willingness to do whatever it takes thats is shown in Rick in the comic. Obviously TPTB dont want to show Rick
2/ Its NOT Shane's fault. Its not. He was devoted to Rick. Come on, this was his best friend for what? 20, 30 years? He TRIED to save him. Leaving him behind broke his heart. He took it upon himself to take care of his friends, his BROTHERS family. To keep them safe. In a world that had gone to shit that was his one reason to live. When Rick came back, he was pushed away. No thanks from Lori. Nothing. Imagine how that must have felt. One day you have something worth living for, then in a split second. BOOM. Gone...
3/ He was pushed into the background by Rick...once Rick came to the camp he automatically took the spot as leader, Shane had been keeping them safe for however long, then almost immediately, in his eyes, became insignificatnt. BOOM...another blow
4/ Then there was the whole CDC vs Fort Benning debate. Once again he was shot down
5/ As for the attempted rape. Im not going into it. Im a woman, one of my best friends was raped just before Christmas and waited 2 months to tell us. We're still dealing with the aftermath and trying to get her to report it. Anyway...not important...not a nice thing. But I can understand where it came from. He was drunk. Not an excuse, but he was confused. He thought Lori loved him. He loved her and to suddenly find out with no warning, that it meant nothing to her. That he meant nothing to her was crippling for him
6/ Killing Otis. I dont blame Shane for this, and anything after this point. I cant. He volunteered to go on a suicide run because of his love for his brother, for Lori, for Carl. He wanted to do all he could to help because it was a hopeless situation. Carl was going to die, and he had an oppertunity to save him. He told Otis to leave him, more than once! He was hurt and couldnt move quickly and knew he was a burden and was more than willing to lie down and die so long as Carl lived. When he realised that Otis didnt have it in him to leave him behind and would more than likely get the both of them killed. And thus Carl...and possibly Rick and Lori through grief, he saw what was his only option and took it.
Who here can say in that situation they wouldnt have done the same? Honestly, I know hand on heart, 100% I would have
7/ Killing Otis ate Shane up alive, on his return to the camp, instead of being received with gratitude, it was with suspicion and hostility (especially from Dale) and pushed even further to the outside at the very time he needed to be embraced and comforted he was left alone for his thoughts, guilt and grief to eat him alive.
8/ So finally we get to the discovery of the walkers in the barn. Yay! Heres a chance to prove he has the survival group at heart. Get rid of the danger, kill the walkers. I mean, thats what theyve always done, right? A walker comes...it IS A THREAT so they kill it, and they live another day. But not this time. His best friend, his brother sides against him and chose the opinions of a stranger over him. BAM...another slap in the face right there. SO we have the massacre. Yes, I think it is universally accepted as the right decision, but as Andrea says. Its not his ideas that are wrong. Its the way he presents them
So really, is it any wonder that after all this, he is starting to crack? Seriously? Be objective here and try and see the whole situation through his eyes. Its not just the points I have listed here. Its the end of the frigging world. A zombie appocalypse! Shane has lost his entire family, his friends, EVERYTHING. All he had was this small band of survivors, and now they are against him too. And in his mind the reason they are is because of Rick. Fair enough, everything was fine before he came along, who's to say it wont be hunky dory again after hes gone? No-one needs to know he killed him, right?
Yes Im a Shane fan, but Im also a Rick fan. Im a tv fan, Im a comic fan...I love how the series is playing out, and i LOVE what JB is doing with Shane. He must have one of the hardest roles to play. As the fans we have an idea what Shane was like from the comic, but as we all know. In the comic
