Perhaps I've missed it somewhere in the boards, but did anyone else automatically think of the movie The Andromeda Strain when they saw TWD episode titled ' Wildfire'? A virus wipes out a whole town except for a baby and an old man, scientists are sent to a government facility known as Wildfire. Too much of a coincidence? Or am I just late to the 'I see what you did there' bus? lol

I remember that movie.  Yeah, there are a lot of elements from that movie and Wildfire that are similar.  I would venture to guess that the movie inspired CDS/ Secret Government Lab genre's since.

I have not read the book, but I liked they made one of the scientists a female.  We'd need a whole new board to discuss just how different book versions of shows/movies turn out. lol

The book was ridiculously good, one of the best I've ever read. I've never seen the movie though.

I also thought of Stephen King's The Stand too as they go to the CDC in that.
