....has loved every second of the Alexandria arc? I see people everywhere claiming how it's been consistently dull, slow, uninteresting, etc.  

I however have loved the various subplots within it (my favorite being Rick vs. the wife-beater, despite its short-lived timespan), and the continued development it's given our characters (specifically Michonne).

I've been digging it. I'm pretty excited to see what happens with the new arc. Sounds like it could be almost as intense if not more so than the Prison/Woodbury arc.

Yeah. The cover art recently released seems to imply that we'll be getting a bloodbath.

I really enjoyed it. One of the reasons I'm drawn to post-apocalypic stuff is because I love to watch how the reminisce of society try to come together,  and the group dynamics in the newly formed communities, etc. I'm totally stoked for the new arc, as well!

Man, I really love the new stuff that has been happening. ALL OF IT. My only complaint is that there is not more, at one time. I mean.. I want it NOW. lol

Also, "A Larger World" and "Something to Fear" looks fucking badass.

I remember reading in the letter hacks from Sina that we might be getting longer issues soonish. Not sure how soon or if Sina is just messing with us. That would be great to have like 50 page issues, instead of the 22-23 pagers.

I like this arc, too. It has given the characters an opportunity to evolve even further, and it has also given us more of an insight into what is going on through their heads. Tons of development in the relationships department, especially Rick/Carl, Rick/Andrea, and Rick's friendship with Michonne, and Michonne's new found friendship with Abraham. Also, Maggie finally doing something useful. I've never really liked this character, because to me she's like a younger version of Lori (always complaining, crying, bitching, etc) but it was really nice to see her going out and doing something useful for the community. And I also like that Sophia finally came out of her craziness.

This is why I love the Walking Dead, because the zombies are kinda the background. It's a story about human beings trying to survive and start new lives. That's exciting to me. I can't wait to see where he's taking this.

No way Matt, I loved it too.  I thought it was really great the way Davidson lost his leadership role and Rick steps in and takes full control.  And how Rick's group all said in the begining of the arc something about this isn't real.  And Andrea once again totally kicks ass through the whole story.  

I think this arc really ended on the last page of #93.  Rick's line about hoping the new people are good people but if not he'll take all their supplies and leave them for dead.  That last scene reminds me of the Rick who killed the hunters and the Rick who killed the guys who attacked Carl.  He's a bad ass leader who will do anything it takes to survive

I have liked the Alexandria arc, not the best but it has been good, I just hope they get some more character development in for the Alexandria residents.
I wouldn't mind some character development for Olivia, Heath, Dr. Denise Cloyd, that kid Mikey and I don't think the characters on the road to DC have been developed enough except for Abraham.

Agree with the poster above me. I like it but they've been spending so much time on Rick and Carl, when there are so many newer potentially interesting characters that should be getting more "airtime."

We rarely see Maggie, Sophia Rosita, Eugene, and Gabriel, all who have been around for quite some time.

I'd really like to see them explore Olivia, Heath, Denise, and Nicholas because I like their characters so far. The only Alexandria characters we've gotten to know in depth are Jessie and Douglas..neither of whom I liked.

The main thing I like about it is there is room for background plots to simmer away behind Rick and Carl. Like the Abraham/Rosita/Holly triangle. It was a completely background thing that could only really develope because on the nature of where they are living and the amount of people there. When we had a smaller group this wasn't really as feasible as everyone was interacting with each other and everyone was so close there wasn't enough 'space' to develope things like that

wow @ the "making the comic longer" thing ... I hope!!! Would be nice indeed to see the comic go from 20-22 readable pages to, say, 30-35. Sick indeed...


Btw the Alexandria arc is cool and all, but judging by the upcoming covers and talk in general... they all gon' die! (something to FEAR)

I don't -dislike- the arc, but I'd be lying if I said I thought it was as good as the prison arc.  That was the high point of the series to date, for me.  I don't have quite the same level of interest that I did a few volumes back.  The plot's a little duller, the characters a little more one-dimensional.  Don't get me wrong, though -- still enjoying it.

I'm enjoying seeing civilization making a rebound. If the characters stay perpetually in the wilderness the conflicts are going to become repetitive. I'm hoping for an alliance with the new community, they have plenty of food and our guys have finally figured out you can make your own ammo. Next someone needs to remember shortwave radios and start building outposts around the city.
