What would you carry as weapons?  Long range?  Short Range?

My List
1) Long Crowbar
2) or Two Machetes hopefully both of a decent Length

Now if you will excuse me I need to work out my delts and forarms for all that winging!  God I am bored, I need Feb 12 to get here already!

I would have to say ....
1. Ax, it would be good for close range anything skull splitting or decap
2. Ceiling Pike...its good for long range disabling
3. K-Bar always good for short range, and can be thrown with accuracy for long range.

My family and I are firefighters so we know what to use that is close and accessible

Long range... bow or crossbow (not technically a gun so :P ), hunting sling-shot.

Short range, katana, aluminum baseball bat, 3 foot length of 1 inch thick rebar with 8 inches of it taped on the end as a handle, 4 foot long bo-staff, pair of stout nunchukus,  machete and bowie knife.

rlly??? no offence but these seem kinda bad..... no offence just want to hear your defence/reasons for putting these

golf club - would break after the 1st zombie you hit
meat cleaver - hard to get out of a zombie after you hack them
police baton - non lethal weapon, wont cause much damage on the zombies their plastic material too. cant kill a human, cant kill a zombie
molotov - zombies would come at you until their brains were burned and that would take at least 1-3 minutes and that gives time for you to be eaten or bit or even worse burned

better weapons would be bats, swords, hammers, grenades

Excellent choices, DC. I'd be a little scared of having a katana though, afraid I might cut myself. Posted Image

Actually the number of firearms in America is around 200+ million. With ammunition numbers in the hundreds of billions.

When the power went out for 2 weeks during Irene. My local gun shop owner secured his shop, and lived with his family at the shop. He was worried that criminals would break in and steal an inventory of $200,000 of firearms and ammunition. He contacted the Police about the situation and they doubled their patrols in the neighborhood. When I spoke to him about it he said he could remain there for several months. (Weird coincidence...The shop owners first name is Andrew.)

Melee weapons: Fiberglass pickaxe handle with the picks cut off, baseball bat, knife.
Non-firearm ranged weapons: Wrist rocket, Compound Bow, Home made 1/2 QEV air rifle .375 cal w/shock pump. Made it for user in a static position. (Have 10,000+ of 3/8ths ball bearings in 2 sheetrock buckets) ;)

Yeah, grenades and such would be awesome, but I live in England so.. and police batons are more than capable of killing a human being, they may be made out of plastic, but they sure are lethal. You could say the same thing about swords being hard to get out after taking a swipe. I see your point about the molotovs, however they can come in handy, if you've watched 28 days later you'll know.

i dont think you know exactly what your talking about.

grenades >>>>>>>>>>>>> molotov

and a sword has mass and weight, a meat leaver doesnt. swords would cut 10x better than a meat cleaver

and TRUST ME batons are NONLETHAL i know i want to be a police officer its a FACT

lol, yes I know grenades are more effective than molotovs, I'm just being realistic as it's impossible to get your hands on a grenade here in England. That link doesn't really tell you much, but this one does http://www.independe...th-1308810.html

It's a rarity because police officers are trained to only use lethal force as a last resort. You probably don't hear about deaths caused by a baton in the US because your officers have side arms, where as here in the UK and elsewhere in Europe, officers use batons. There's numerous pictures/vids online of the damage they can cause so I won't go on about it.

yes they can cause damage, however they cant smash your skull and destroy the brain....the ONLY WAY TO KILL A ZOMBIE. this is just ridiculous.

well see who comes out better. me in a room with 5 zombies and a hammer and u in another room with a police baton and 5 zombies. youll get lucky if you kill 1 zombie your get exhausted too quickly.

dude theyre nonlethal its a fact. and your ignorant to say that they arent

Zombies aren't real, so there's no way of knowing which method actually kills them lol. You're putting too much thought into this. To each of his own.....

a PR24 is destructive as fk,and easily breaks bones, cops are trained to hit meaty parts of the body like the thighs,,but it could split skulls as easy as a bat. a hammer could and most probably get stuck in the head long enough for someone else to get you..
