If you could guarantee that a zombie couldn't infect you and it was say...your mother, father husband ect....would you keep them around?

I know its a stupid question but I'm bored at work....indulge me

probably not .. im too logical a thinker to be emotionally attached to a reanimated corpse .. i am definitely not a herschel ..

i am not saying i would not be sentimental if a loved one was bit, but after dealing and placing my emotions in the correct place, i would proceed to do what was logical.. in this case, eliminating the zombie that looks like mother, father, wife, etc .. with no second thoughts..
and i say this with all the sincerity in the world, i have been in many situations where people around me react much differently than me, and i usually end up doing the logical thing .. i definitely have the ability to think with my head instead of my heart ..

so to answer your question, no i would not keep a pet zombie or keep a zombie out of some emotional connection to it ..
Tron is back .....

So in my head i saw Merle saying hell to the no and it gave me a fantastic laugh so thank you! I agree with you both, I wouldn't keep a thing just because it used to be a someone...that's just creepy.

No excuse for keeping them around, unless you are some scientist researching a cure, or some way to get rid of the Z's in mass.

I know this always ends badly in movies and books but they have to be studied for possible solutions.
For a reasonable fee, I will quell minor outbreaks, enforce quarantines, and dispatch infected relatives.

Not until I developed the "would-be-patented BeardedOne Steam Machine".  Then I would collect them, store them, and burn them as fuel for energy production.

Wood? Coal?  Oil?

BAH!!

The energy of the future is ZOMBIES!!

Currently taking investment money...

Don't make me hungry.
Zombie is the fruit of the land. You can barbecue it, boil it, broil it, bake it, sautee it. There's, um, Zombie zebabs, Zombie creole, Zombie gumbo, pan fried, deep fried, stir fried. There's pineapple Zombie and lemon Zombie, coconut Zombie, pepper Zombie, Zombie soup, Zombie stew, Zombie salad, Zombie and potatoes, Zombie burger, Zombie sandwich... That's, that's about it.”

I just don't think zombies would make fun pets. They aren't cute, they smell bad, eat too much, and can't be trained. Maybe if I was in a mansion I would keep some in a gate and when people are bothering me at my door I'd "Release the Zombies" Mr. Burns style.

I can see a device like a zombie powered mill , chain multiple zombies to it and when properly " motivated " by sitting a human within site of them and let them walk in circles . It could run a pump or a water wheel or combined with a flywheel it could  run a generator head . I wouldn't keep one around for anything but putting it to work . And they would be chained and restrained so there is no chance they can get loose .
