I saw The Dark Knight Rises aswell and it was awesome. I thought I may not enjoy it because when I watched "The Dark Knight" I kind of lost concentration and wasn't really paying attention. But it was great

Yeah I really liked the ending too.
I heard that the director has stated that this film, "The Dark Knight Rises", was the last one. They aren't gonna make anymore.
With the ending they could easily carry it on, I wish they did.....

It definitely leaves the door open for another Batman movie, just not by Christopher Nolan. But i'm sure with the way Hollywood is going, another reboot will made soon again. However I don't think they could top the casting like The Dark Night Rises did, Christian Bale, Tom Hardy, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman all brilliant British actors, as well as Morgan Freeman, Joseph Gordon- Levitt and Anne Hathaway.
Be excellent to each other, and party on dudes. ~ Abraham Lincoln

Just went this afternoon to see Dark Knight Rises to avoid the heat.  Thought it was well worth the time.  I thought the acting was uniformly good and yup, the ending was cool.  All in all I have been pleased with the summer blockbusters I have see so far. . . except Magic Mike, which was absolutely gawd-awful.

No love for Alcide?? :o

Just watched Animal Kingdom. One of the few movies in my life that I actually shouted "YES" at the end! The only actor I recognized was Guy Pearce, but if you love crime dramas, this one won't disappoint.

It's all daft. Daft like buggery, innit?

You know, it was one of those that I thought could have "sleeper" potential.  Once again, I came to realize that movies are better if they have a) a plot (you know, beyond the hot men stripping) and B) if the pretty people could act (which they couldn't).

Alcide needed a bigger role.  Really it was 2 hours of my life I can't get back.  It is a rare thing for me to think about leaving a moving before it is over.  I really, really, really gave it some serious consideration.

The wife and I saw the dark knight rises over the weekend too. I was skeptical going into it because for me the dark knight set the bar super high for super hero movies as far as I'm concerned. But rises surpassed my expectations and totally made that bar it's bitch! I was enthralled with the whole movie from start to finish! My 6 year old daughter watched in awe the whole entire time and said absolutely nothing until it was over. As we were leaving she asked what time the second show was because she had wanted to watch it again. When we got home she sat down with her sketch pad and drew some of the coolest catwoman and bane drawings.

OK, that's even worse than I expected.

Alcide already plays a guy called "Big Dick Richie".  Isn't that big enough?

Not a recent movie, but I just watched Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room again.  It's an excellent documentary about the Enron disaster of 10 years ago.  Depressing what they got away with and how many people they hurt, but very watchable.  It's available on Netflix.

Beware, I am emoticon-impaired.

I am glad you didn't like it Kat. It confirms my respect for your intelligence and that goes for anyone else who votes it down.

I lost interest in strippers a long time ago without losing my appreciation (and lust) for a sexy woman. The idea of an entire flick about male strippers, back story be damned, leaves me cold. I will skip it. B)
For a reasonable fee, I will quell minor outbreaks, enforce quarantines, and dispatch infected relatives.

Give me "The Full Monty" any day.  Those homely British dudes totally showed up Mike and his compatriots.

I really like a movie called

It's kind of a funny story

Movie about a kid/teenager contemplating suicide.  Ends up in a mental ward for week and realizes he has it good.  And has nothing to be depressed about.

I love that movie! Keir Gilchrist needs to be in more films. He was excellent in that, as well as United States of Tara on Showtime.

I watched The Amazing Spiderman earlier today and I think it was rather good. I had read one review about it being forgettable and not that good but I would have to disagree
Is it better than the first one with Tobey maguire??, is it worth watching big screen or wait for DVD?

Hmmm, I haven't watched the first one with Tobey Maguire in years but from what I can remember I would say that maybe the Tobey Maguire one was better. And, I'm not sure about if you should wait to get it on DVD. I don't wanna tell you to get it on DVD and then when you watch it you wished you saw it in cinema and think I'm an idiot for giving crap advice :D

Thanks much appreciated, I liked the 1st with Tobey but the 2nd and 3rd had so much CGI parts looked like a video game, and that left me disapointed with them

I saw Flight. Okay the trailer imo, is a bit deceiving I was pretty thrown by how depressing and uncomfortable the movie turned out to be. It's A bit melodramatic. They try to add humor to lighten up the mood but it's still intense. There are moments where even the humor is uncomfortable and it's like should I be laughing at this. On the plus side the actors were great. Knowing what I know now I would not see this in the theater.

I saw Cloud Atlas recently and thought it was remarkable.  Probably not for everyone, definitely not the kind of popcorn flick which you check your brain in at the door, but a profound cinema experience still.
