okay. 1st when daryl hears about Merle and hes pissed and he says hes going to find him, rick says he'll tell him where merle is. then lori butts in and says no rick will show you. pretty much volunteering rick to go. then before leaving shes begging rick not to go......WTF? makes no sense. did anyone else pick up on this?

he's altruistic, and lori knows this ..  she said it cuz she already knows her husband and his morals and his etiquette and the value he puts on holding honor and respect and integrity ..  they already had a conversation previous to her saying this i believe .. i dont think she's too happy either when she says he'll show you, but i think it's more a demonstration that she already knows how and who he is .. thats to keep his integrity he'll risk his life and being w his family .. it all depends on where you're from, the way you'll view this action .. all societies are different .. those that value honor, usually dont value morality as much, say the honor of a kings daughter, she sleeps around, they lie to keep her honor, thus it is acceptable to them .. while other cultures, i wud dare say americans, much rather have the truth, over concealment .. (tho w all these politicians, and coaches, and priests, and just liars and crooks i dont really know what we value more if appearance or substance, but thats a whole other post) .. in rick's case, i think it's just personal, he obviously loves his family, but has this dedication to loyalty and fairness, which isn't really understood .. it's kinda dumb in my opinion, especially in the time he is living, a ZA well its about survival .. will we see this change ..? perhaps .. but i guess it's one of the many conflicts that the characters confront and i think has been covered in this fourm.. do people keep their humanity in the absence of laws and those who enforce them ..? so hopefully the writers keep it up, and keep placing rick in situations that wud make any of us re-think our actions as people .. its why i watch the show
