Mine is probably obvious. LOL. When I go to the beach and hear the waves breaking and the beauty of nature, it's like, Ahhhhh!, all is right in the world.
The ironic thing is, I am afraid of water. I tried to overcome it by learning to scuba dive. I did love it and it is literally, a whole different world underwater. An added plus is, you go to some beautiful places where the scuba diving is best. The problem I had, was that I could feel panic building up in me, the deeper I went. The last thing you want to do underwater is to panic. I still want to Scuba dive, I just haven't in years.

Like you, I'm happiest by water... My particular favourite is the bleak, stony-grey and oftentimes quite furious North Sea; not for me the azure blues of the Caribbean or a placid ocean vista, no, I need a bit of passion and roiling skies and sea birds whorling overhead.
Unfortunately, I didn't choose your user-name in time. So can I have mine changed to Depression@Puddles*?
That was a joke by the way, mods team, I've SEEN what you did to poor Major Highway.
And to the OP! Say my name, say my name!

Fun topic! My screenname is just a play on ziggy *coughs* and my fetish for watching men smoke.

I have two words for you Serenity. BULL SHARK. If you ever fly low over the Gulf of Mexico, start counting.
You'll get tired real quick. My brother was all into scuba diving and tried to get me into it. Backwoodsroamer ain't no fool. They got things out there that'll eat a man.
Don't be scared. Come with me! It'll be fun. Promise!

We went on a dive once where you had to hook yourself into the reef. Why? Because the current was so bad that if you didn't hook yourself in, you would never be seen again. Why, again would you subject yourself to that? Because, what you see in that kind of current is sharks, hundreds of them.
I sat that one out! in fact, I haven't dove since. I am more of the diver who likes to see the pretty tropical fish in pud diving.

Well, my original screen name was Major Highway, which was a play on words that incorporated my profession and my rank. I'm a Major in the Army National Guard and I'm a highway engineer, so Major Highway, which also fits well as a zombie movie scene, like the herd in Season 2, Episode 1 and the stranded survivors on a major highway.
- BUT -
I chose the name before I realized there was also a Major Tom on this board, and I felt bad because I didn't mean to inadvertently infringe on his user name , since he was obviously a well known member of the board, and it just felt odd for me to be the new guy coming in with a very similar name to a board veteran who everybody already knew and liked. So I asked for it to be changed to Sapper, which is what I do in the military, combat engineer, more specifically, in recent years, I've been involved in IED detection and defeat / route clearance operations in Iraq and Afghanistan.

I've always loved learning about someone from just their name. I know some screen names we hold close to heart and I just wanted to know what your screen name means to you. Was it specific? Random?
My screen name is GirlsDeadMonster. It's actually the name of an all girls band in an anime series called Angel Beats. There is no real meaning behind it and it won't change the world however, I just liked the sound of it and thought it would be a great screen name for this forum. How about you?

And as for you little camper I've explained before, and to save all that typing I'll just copy and paste

There's nothing scary about me. I'm very much a people person. Some of the best times of my life were when I was young and did contract work. I would fly in, fix the airplane, machine, or whatever the company wanted fixed. You got your bonus check and a small retainer to tide you over till the next job. The company called us, ta dah, ROAMERS.
I got to meet people and make a lot of unique, interesting friends. In my off time I still liked to travel. I had a van. Everybody remembers those old conversion vans, right? Well, I had money and transportation so I just drove around the country stopping where ever it looked interesting. Medium size towns are the best. They don't have that small town strangers don't fit in mentality or that coldness big city people have.
There all all kinds of places to meet people. Bars are okay, but I liked diners, grocery stores, even churches. Church people are so good about helping strangers. You just have to be polite and respectful.
I loved making friends. The whole getting to know them process is delightful. The problem is, after you get to know them, so many people are flawed. They all seem to disappoint you in the end. They wind up being selfish or cruel. I just can't stand being disappointed. That makes me want to punish people for their flaws. I think it's what God would want, don't you? Punishment is a private thing, best done in privacy. There's no place like the BACKWOODS for privacy.
I always did it right. Buried them deep afterwards so the animals wouldn't disturb them. I picked flowers and prayed for them. I know they all went to heaven, because they all begged so hard to be forgiven.
Don't be scared. Come with me! It'll be fun. Promise!

My screen name is very simple. Ryan is my name and Dead as in "The Walking DEAD". I just thought its a short simple name to have that sort of links with The Walking Dead

By the way I lied about my screen name, it was backwoodsroamer or Mr. Sunshine. I was going to flip a coin, but then it struck me that Mr. Sunshine just didn't seem to work for me.

I was signing up to another forum in '04 for one of my other big obsessions (Star Wars) and I was trying username after username and getting the dreaded, "Username is taken" again and again and again.
I ended up typing in two random words.
'Satan' as I had a huge obsession with death and the devil back then and 'Thong' as someone said on the TV in the background "That's a thong" and I just figured NO ONE would have that username. And it stuck!

My mama always told me someday I'd be good at something. Who'd a guessed that something'd be zombie-killing?

Mine is much more narcissistic and, to be honest, boring.
'Fee' is a misspelled shortened version of my name.
'Vintage' because I'm a gay little hipster kid. Basically.

I love it. I don't think it's the hardest thing in the world to come up with a screen name, but I love that people tend to choose names that have meaning behind it or make a statement with it. I loved reading everyone's story and getting a glimpse at the person behind the screen name.
