This article claims that EP Denise Huth says season 7 encompassed only 19 days. I find that hard to fathom given all that happened. I put the link in spoiler tags since even the url could be considered a bit season 8 spoilery.

The Rick and Michonne montage made it feel like that was 19 days itself.

19 days does seem short. I'd have thought this all took place in a couple of months. I've recently suspected one of the reasons for Judith is to give us a time line perspective.

If they're trying to pass off an entire season as less than 3 weeks, then it just goes to what in my opinion has been some faulty writing for some time now,  The show has been playing temporal shenanigans with us for at least a couple seasons.
