Apparently Kirked penned a letter in the latest comic saying that he thinks the show could go till at least season 10, if not longer. He also said that things start to really pick up around season 10.

David Alpert has also apparently talked in the past about wanting to continue the show to season 11 or even season 12, and that they have milestones to address if they are able to get that far.

This is all dependent on ratings, which as we all know haven't been the greatest these last couple of months. I do believe we could get to at least season 10.

"Haven't been the greatest" in comparison to what they were, which were insane.

This show is on par to match Supernatural.

[So he came forth and said onto me - Son, you are forsaken - Condemned for the sins that you live - I offer you forgiveness - Bow down before me - Bow down before me] I will never bow to he who claims to be divine - I'll tear down your gates with my bare fucking hands - And burn the world that you rule over - No matter how convinced you are, you're not a god of mine

like most shows. it's running out of ideas and pretty soon it's going to struggle not to repeat the same storyline that it has been. find a home. meet a new bad. home gets destroyed. flee. rinse and repeat etc etc.

Ratings not the greatest. Compared to itself. It's still one of the most viewed shows on all of television, cable or broadcast network. The show isn't in trouble. It doesn't have a large budget compared to other shows surprisingly. It can probably go on for as long as it wants to.

Except they are stil in Alexandria and have been for a long time. Almost 2 seasons now. And Negan doesn't appear to have any interest in destroying it.

doesn't mean it won't. i know from a comic standpoint what's going on. also show Negan has proved he's not afraid to ruin places for people that let him down.

They might even push it back then, hell it may become a generational affair, with questions passed down from father to son, mother to daughter, but someday, somewhere, somebody will find out the damn truth.
