Imagine a group of a hundred motorcycles driving down a freeway. Eventually, they hit a junction. One road goes northwest and the other goes northeast. So one guy, we'll call him S, says, "Let's go northwest!" A mile past the intersection, a semi careens into the group and kills ninety of them. Ten are wounded, but they survive and keep going. Eventually, they hit 10,000 miles. S suddenly has his consciousness thrown into his past body right before the junction. Now, he says, "Let's go northeast!" All 100 bikers survive. Happily ever after, right? But what about the ten, no nine, who went northwest and survived? What happens to the reality they were living? Does it just disappear now that S has changed the past? It's not like only bad things happened on that 10,000 mile journey. Maybe one of them fell in love with a gas station attendant and got her pregnant or maybe one adopted a homeless kid that joined the adventure. That 10,000 mile journey would be full of stories. Romances, farewells, friendships...the loss of those ninety lives is horrible and unfortunate, but what would rewriting their history mean? The nine who survived lived full lives and did the best they could with the hand they were dealt. How could it be right to just erase all that? Isn't that worth something? Is there a point to a world where everything is happy? Are people who struggle for a better life just idiots? Being human is about fighting even when it seems hopeless and finding happiness in a world that hates it. Are you saying that's worthless?

Moore's might be one of my favorite covers of the series. I think I'll have to buy it physically this time

You don't like the normal 150 cover?
Sure, 152's sucks, but I thought 150 with bloody rick was alright

These are all a shit ton better than the actual cover (not that it's bad -- just doesn't feel monumental, y'know?)

Alternatively, you could also just call me Soiled_Panties, on account of how pissy I can be.

Y'all don't think this is heralding Ricks death? Bookending his introduction and last issue with mirror covers? And all the past dead folks in the window? And the little skull in the upper left corner of the awning?

^ Issue #75 also had a variant paying homage to #1 and it didn't mean Rick's death...

^ Issue #75 also had a variant paying homage to #1 and it didn't mean Rick's death... Yeah, but tony Moore didn't draw the #75 cover. Kirkman and Moore were not on the greatest of terms. There's a reason that Kirkman asked him to do it.

HOLY COW!

Love that Tony Moore cover! Gotta get it!

I'm sorry, please don't judge, but I've never actually bought a physical copy of an individual issue. I've only ever gotten TPBs and hardcovers.

So my question is, is there a way to pre-order this variant or something? If so where?

Thanks!

It's cool, dude -- I just read the digital releases. As far as I'm aware, if you're subscribed to monthly issues by mail, you just kinda get whatever you get. Try checking out a comic book shop when the issues releases. I'm sure they'd have all the variants. If you go in ahead of time and ask, they might be willing to reserve a copy for you.
