Honestly it's kind of ridiculous

Suggestions to improve the site have been shot down and now I see why--any slight change makes the whole thing fall apart. We don't know what's going on and if anything the problem's gotten worse since it's started with more people getting the problem

Sorry but I had to vent since I haven't really been able to use what was my favorite forum for over half a year

I'm not sure what you mean by slight changes causing the site to fall apart. We had a major hacking issue that Puppy spent months trying to fix. There were all kinds of weird quirks that went very deep into the formatting of the site. Unfortunately, this mobile issue has been harder for him to fix and only Puppy (as the owner) has access to the deeper recesses of the Admin panel.

Also, we use a hosting site so we have to work within the confines of the options they offer us.

I know it's quite frustrating and we all apologize for any inconvenience. What is even more confusing is that some people are able to log on using their mobile. At this point, we need to figure out why it affects some users and not others.

Lol- definitely not, Zed! It's just a sucky technical difficulty that we as mods have no access to fix. We wish to glob we knew the answers, because it's something we'd kill to be able to fix for everyone.

I'll text the owner about this....again.

Guys, words can't describe how embarrassed and frustrated we feel about this issue, and how neglected we feel as NOTHING has been done about this for so long. I can't fix it unfortunately, or else it would have been done months ago.

Imagine a group of a hundred motorcycles driving down a freeway. Eventually, they hit a junction. One road goes northwest and the other goes northeast. So one guy, we'll call him S, says, "Let's go northwest!" A mile past the intersection, a semi careens into the group and kills ninety of them. Ten are wounded, but they survive and keep going. Eventually, they hit 10,000 miles. S suddenly has his consciousness thrown into his past body right before the junction. Now, he says, "Let's go northeast!" All 100 bikers survive. Happily ever after, right? But what about the ten, no nine, who went northwest and survived? What happens to the reality they were living? Does it just disappear now that S has changed the past? It's not like only bad things happened on that 10,000 mile journey. Maybe one of them fell in love with a gas station attendant and got her pregnant or maybe one adopted a homeless kid that joined the adventure. That 10,000 mile journey would be full of stories. Romances, farewells, friendships...the loss of those ninety lives is horrible and unfortunate, but what would rewriting their history mean? The nine who survived lived full lives and did the best they could with the hand they were dealt. How could it be right to just erase all that? Isn't that worth something? Is there a point to a world where everything is happy? Are people who struggle for a better life just idiots? Being human is about fighting even when it seems hopeless and finding happiness in a world that hates it. Are you saying that's worthless?

I could not log in with my iPhone 4S either, no matter which browser I used (Safari and Chrome). But talking with Bug who has the same problem with her iPhone I tried the following and I can now log in, at least with the Safari browser.

In Safari you need to open the preference pane (at the bottom of Safari... it is the little square with the arrow coming out of it) then select Request Desktop Site (you may have to scroll to the right to come to it).

Once I did this I saw I was signed in from a previous earlier non successful attempt. I was also able to log out and back in with no problem.

So maybe this is the issue some/most folks are having. Hope this helps someone.

Edit:  I see in the Chrome browser there is the same option to Request Desktop Site... and I am able to log in with no problem.

Just to update what Logan has done to help. My iOS version is newer. I found the Request Desktop Site option under the first row of options. It worked and now I can access from my iPhone.

Edit: Thank you Logan5!

Also guys, I talked to RumblePup this week, and he added us to an app called Tapatalk. It's a free download and you access the site that way. It's free, has some ads, but it's a way to access the site.

I use a Samsung phone and can access the site through Chrome.
