Believe me, if I thought that line would work on her, I'd use it too!

Whaddya mean? it DID work on her... problem is that Glenn didn't intend it... he sputtered it out because he was at a loss to explain and trying to keep the promised discreetness but was like any other (young) man busted with a handful of products in the feminine hygiene aisle ... especially by a hottie.

Actually I got the impression that the embarrassed awkwardness of Glenn is what got Maggie to say to her self... "hmmm, well he is cute".

I thought the interaction between the two was nicely written, especially afterwards. Glenn all smiles and Maggie wanting to keep everything under wraps "like, be cool dude geez!" Then Glenn blew it trying to press the issue and she said it was "a one time thing"... I somehow doubt it but at least it shut him up and shut him down for the time being.
Smart girl.

Because this show is Racist using the same loner, nerdy, virgin Asian guy role that's been proudly abused by Hollywood for centuries now.

Really?  I never even took into consideration his ethnicity.  I saw him as a young guy who was smitten to a cute country girl.  He was just nervous that he got busted going through the "feminine" section of the store.  I also don't look at Glenn as being nerdy.  He is a survivor, nothing nerdy about that.

Any racist comments or comments eluding to anything regarding racism should stop now. I dont want to see anything explode because of a comment. Thank you. =)

Indeed! He grabbed something at random trying to cover up his top secret mission for Lori and then stammered his way into getting lucky...God bless him!

I don't think Maggie is done with him yet.

I agree. Plus, I totally think that boyish charm of his is an asset. I know he had me at, "Er, um, sputter, sputter..."  ;)

I don't recall Glenn claiming he was a virgin, and as far as racist, S1 started with a black man saving a white man's ass. Every character has had an opportunity to be both victim and hero.

No, thank you.

Lets leave the racist comments to Daryl and Merle (and occasionally T-Dog) shall we? They're bad enough without US throwin it in.

Steven Yung I think is doing a good job with the material he's given.  His character has accepted quite a bit of abuse thus far and he's stood up for himself enough. Also if Maggie can't see it then why should we?

Seriously dude? Get over yourself please. It's a show. If anything, they're making him look like a very intelligent, very decent and likeable guy. If you're going to pull the race card, you should be proud of how he's being portrayed.

The whole feminine hygiene scene would have been more awkward and even more funny, had Lori asked for something besides a home pregnancy test. I mean, aren't those just called pregnancy tests? What else could she have possibly written on that piece of paper so that Glenn would question what it was?

I doubt she just scribbled "ClearBlue" or "EBT" on the note. She probably wrote, "pregnancy test". And then Glenn was all like, "Uh, what is it?"

I don't know..... I was expecting something more out of the ordinary... like "Summer's Eve"... or "Vagisil"

I would have loved to see Glenn with a box of Canestan strutting down the street like the ladies in the commercials. I think you won with Vagisil thought.

Also, I bet she wrote 'PT' or 'PTest.'

I doubt Lori wrote PT or PTest because that would still require Glen to figure out what it is to grab.  I think Lori wrote a popular brand name that she's familiar with.  Brand names like ept, FirstResponse, or ClearBlue wouldn't tell most guys anything, unless he also looked at what else was written on the box.  Which he clearly did...

Lori's look told volumes when she realizes that Glen was clearly uncomfortable and awkward passing the box to her.  She was obviously hoping that Glen would just grab a box with the brand name she wrote down and not bother to look closer.

I thought Glen's awkward look was more of his hurt from hearing Maggie say it was a one-time thing.
I have to admit, in his shoes, that last phrase would still be stinging...

Poor guy. :(

I agree - he wasn't thinking about Lori at all, imo.

In his shoes, I'd be too insufferably pleased to care.

I think Lori wrote "True Blue" on the note...  That's what the box said when he picked it up.  Then he realized what it was.
