Not sure where to put this so move it if need be. I have seen every episode but can't remember something about Lori and Shane. I had a debate with a friend that they had an affair before the Zombies showed up. I also thought (think) she and Shane slept together after she thought Rick was dead. Was there any 'proof' of either on the show its self? Especially that they slept together after the Zombie epidemic.

There's no proof comic or TV that they had a relationship before the outbreak, but clearly Shane was close to the family. It's confirmed both comic and TV that they did have sexual relations post zombie outbreak.
Where's the blacksmith??!!!!

In the opening of Guts Lori and Shane have sex out in the woods, when Lori was out 'collecting mushrooms'.
I don't believe Lori and Shane were anything more than friends before the apocalypse, but there are plenty of people who do. So far, there is no definitive proof either way.

I considered the possibility that they were previously involved and dismissed the idea based on how Lori received him. If she had real feelings for Shane she would have been more ambivalent.
At this point I think anyone that believes that, just wants it to be that way. There is a lot of that going around.

For a reasonable fee, I will quell minor outbreaks, enforce quarantines, and dispatch infected relatives.

My reason for wondering was the fact she was sleeping with Shane so soon after her husband died, or she thought he died. Just seemed awful cold to me.

Sara Wayne Callies has said that Shane and Lori had no relations before Rick was shot.

For some reason my mind is thinking that Rick woke up either 3 or 6 weeks after the initial Zombie outbreak.
If so then Lori seeking solace in Shane's arms would be *ahem* reasonable... also if I recall Rick and Lori had a fight (?) the morning he was shot, so resentments harboring around inside could've led her into Shane's arms.
Either that or Shane is just THAT good (and low down) at seducing vulnerable women.

6 weeks isn't very long and if she had fought with Rick you would think guilt would keep her faithful a little longer.... guess not.

Here's something interesting someone said to me, if everyone was carrying the virus and would turn no matter how they died......what would happen if someone was pregnant and late in the pregnancy the child died in the womb, would the child turn in the womb to a walker?
Kind of baffled me, didnt know how to answer that one.

That happened in DOTD II but the mother had turned and was tied to the bed for delivery. Baby was born Z, cute lil thing and it could only gum you.

Could it have been 3-6 weeks? Looks like he would have died of dehydration. Assuming his IV was full when Shane left him, it would have only lasted a day or so. You can only last 3-4 days without hydration.

Begs the question. Where was ground zero? Maybe the area was fortified for awhile until the numbers of z's were great enough to overtake the area.
Okay, I thought you meant after Shane left him. Total time in hospital, several weeks sounds about right.
