Who is this joker?
At the beginning of the season he was some obnoxious whiner whose only accomplishment was getting absolutely everyone around him killed.
And he liked to drink or something but I guess the writers forgot about that.
I always considered him some annoying side/background character.
Now, he's some major player with a six-pack (yea right, boozer) and a suave personality. When did this happen?
Who likes this character?
To me he is just an annoying presence on the show with nowhere for his character to go, since
If I am missing some dynamic aspect of this enthralling character, please point it out to me.
I actually hate him more than Carl at this point.
Okay.. I guess we go line by line.
The only person we saw die by his actions was Beth's 'boyfriend' and even that wasn't his fault. You can't expect what happened to be something he could have reasonably predicted? Also do we know his actions caused the last 2 groups he was with to die? Did he get drunk on watch? Did he sell anyone out? Do we even know? For all we know he bolted when it was too late to make a difference. So we don't know if his guilt is justified or just survivor's guilt.
I'm sure the writer's didn't forget he is an alcoholic, but where do you expect him to find a bottle where they are going? I think you are forgetting the situation he is in. He has no choice but to be dry.
Well yeah... his vices almost got himself killed and nearly drug Daryl with him. You were supposed to hate him.
He's not a major player. He's a B-cast, and it's time the show got a B-cast. for 3 seasons it was A-cast and extras. He might look like a main character because he's getting some screen time, but sometimes I like watching people other than The 'Bridge Officers" Oh BTW what 'suave' personality are you talking about? He's probably happy that even though the prison fell he isn't the last man standing. The fact that Maggie was out there on her own, gave him strength and optimism. Since he's forced to be sober, having a purpose most be helping him go on, and if I was going to see my crush for the last time, I might steal a kiss too.
Well since you asked. I like him and so do most people. You seem to be the minority. I mean to each their own.
Wow... you need to clean your blinders off, there's PLENTY of directions you can take a recovering alcoholic literarily both positive and negative. Oh and the Bob you are referring to does not exist on the show. since
Let's see, he's new. He's real, as in he has believable vices and virtues. He's NOT a superhero, he's a Joe everyman. He's relatable... should I go on?
Eh... Carl's annoying but I expect Kids his age to be annoying.
