Bob said the walker bit him on the bandage, and this stopped a bite. Later, Sasha noted it was still bleeding.

Is it possible Bob was bit and is hiding it?

If it is, he would hold the record for the longest survivor after being bitten.

You are probably right. Still, once bitten the fever has to hit. Then death, then turn.

No good info on how long it takes to get sick. The only example is Jim from S2.

But even he got ill and was sitting under the tree in less then 24 hrs. He was bit in the stomach (if I remember correctly): Bob has a wound on his shoulder, that was bleeding freely if slowly: he would have been infected quicker.

Finally, this episode made me care about whether Bob lives or dies. I'd been hoping for them to just get rid of him ever since they left the prison cause he just seemed unnecessary, but I liked how they fleshed out his character today.

Not sure how I feel about the Sasha/Bob kiss though. That relationship feels a little contrived to me

He's been pining for Sasha from the beginning, and he had what he saw as one last chance ever to let her know. It was just about as natural a progression of attraction you get on television.

I was wondering that, too.  That scene where he was sitting there on his knees, I thought for sure he was beginning to turn.  By the end of the episode on the train tracks, though, I think that theory went out the window.  He seemed find.

Is anyone else really growing to like Bob?

I really enjoyed his character in the last episode, and now I'm hoping he's not zombie fodder. I hope he sticks around for a while.

I am loving Bob so far. It doesn't hurt that Lawrence Gilliard is playing him.

Here's some interesting speculation about Bob that could answer some questions....

I watched Alone again last night and well, if fracking love Bob now. His background scene absolutely did me in. I was so leery of him, but I truly believe now that "hims good" as my son would say

shrike -- I was just coming to post that article :) I would LOVE it if that theory proves true! That actor is fantastic (I've loved him since The Wire) and he deserves something so meaty.

Me too! I'd love Bob to have some additional dimension as well as to have some light at the end of this very dark tunnel. It is an unlikely idea but I'd be happy if it's true.

I, personally, think Bob is a fantastic character. I love how happy he is and that he's smiling all the time. I couldn't help but smile every time the camera showed him smiling. As interesting as the article is about Bob being immune (which I would absolutely LOVE if it happened), I just don't see it happening. I guess I'm being skeptical because I find it a bit hard to believe that an army medic would have the knowledge where other, smarter minds have failed (in developing a cure). But, then again, I have no idea how extensive an army medic's knowledge is, so I could be completely wrong.

Anyways, I'm glad Bob has received some development and hope that Tara and Bob both make it to the end of the season. I feel like new characters are always just introduced and not given much of a story before getting the chomp.

This is a very interesting theory!  Would be a freaky but awesome development!  Thank you for sharing :)

I have a sad feeling that they are building up Bob to kill him in one of the next 3 episodes.  It`s no fun to kill someone no one likes - like some mythical creatures, the writers draw strength from our pain
