Yeah, it's a bit confusing.

The wikia says that Denise has red hair, as well as Olivia.

But their haircuts are drawn and colored colored VEEEEERY differently.

I suspect that Olivia COULD be of mixed race, as you say.

Denise is a redhead for sure though. Her hair is much more akin to that of Abraham's (albeit a lot more...frizzy. I hope that's a word. What i mean is that his hair wassmooth, and Denise's is all....wavy and stuff.), and we know he was ginger. (He may not have had the typical freckles *that gingers usually has*, but he was very pale in comparison to many other characters, and his hair is super orange.)

I never actually thought of Abe as a super ginger. More of a dull brownish red. But hey, no one really knows anything, because the book isn't in color.

Well, to be perfectly honest, even that is a bit unclear.

He starts out like this and here, he has very orange hair. (Also, Abe The Super-Ginger sounds like an awesome name for a super-hero character.)

Then goes to this. It's duller and more ''red'' than orange now

And then finally this, where his hair is more greyishbrown than it is red.

Adlard is not very nitpicky on keeping to color schemes. On nearly every damn cover Jesus is on, his coat/haircolor/everything about him changes.

Look at the cover of 118, and the one for 114. You'll see what i mean.

Or look at the 10 year anniversary cover where he, Ezekiel, Shiva and Rick all stand together.

The man changes colors like underwear.

I always pictured Abe with sandy blonde hair, and Denise with light blonde hair. It's kind of surprising that there's so many red haired survivors considering they only account for 1-2% of the world population.

Alot of peple have freckles in real life?

(Seriously. I've seen women with pitchblack hair have freckles. It's just not noticeable, since mostly they do wear alot of makeup)

My mom have a bunch of freckles (which faded abit as she ages, so it's not very noticable now) and she has platinum blonde hair.

My brother, who have darkblonde hair has freckles. (Strangely enough, i dont. I must've gotten that trait from my dad.)

So...i dont see it as an odd thing, really. Alot of people, regardless of their haircolour, have freckles.

And i guess it's to make them stand out a bit from characters with similar features.

I know people who were confused when i asked them about the prison arc (who admittedly aren't that big followers of the comic, so i understand them forgetting certain things). I was like '' remember the girl with the blonde ponytail? Who used that rifle? ''

'' Alice? ''

'' No, the one with freckles. ''

'' Ooooooh, Andrea. ''

And freckles are cute. I want more of them.

In issue 71 I think Andrea predicted in order
- a organized group could attack ( check )
- a herd could come through ( check )
- fire ( check )
-storms ( should we be concerned? )

The fact that we haven't had any rough storms is something I think kirkman should touch on. I want to see mother nature damage a safe zone....should we be concerned? I hope. Lol

Different artist. Doesn't count. (and even with the lighter shading, Morgan is still totally African American. When Morgan returned, when i saw him in Adlard's style, i didnt think, '' Oh shit, that's a new design. ''  No, i thought '' THAT's Morgan, no doubt. ''.)

And even then, you'd have to go a faaaaar stretch to think Morgan would be caucasian.

I mean, it's not like his kid is clearly African American as well, right?

Dont mistake this for anything (I do not mean to offend and i have not one racist bone in my body, and if someone misinterprets my post, that's your fault for misinterpreting it and my fault for probably not being clear enough on my points.), because i have no clue as to why my former post got thumbed down. I dont think they have stereotypic features or anything (as i'm guessing that is what somebody thought i meant.), but i can tell which guy is black and who isn't when i look at this panel.

Just like how i can tell who is Asian and NOT Asian on this one.

Spoiler

Moore and Adlard both draw realistic features (like, as an example....Morgan nor Michonne *or Tyreese....Heath....Ezekiel...and any other black character looks racist or offensive. They look like real African American people *except for maybe Ezekiel who looks like George Clinton since he is based on him and George Clinton isn't black. He is a damn rainbow.*, in both artist's renditions.) when depicting various ethnicities. You can always tell which one is which, like you should, because it would be confusing otherwise.

So all this confusion and the Morgan example makes no sense to me.

I'll be honest I thought your quote of mine with the meme face was pretty dickish so I found an image to justify the point that light shading could be used for African Americans.
